The Fiery Cross by Diana Gabaldon (2001, Hardcover)

You will LOVE this book.

The characters are the kind of people you'd like to know. Smart, witty, fun.
The adventures are non stop and the romance is enough to make you reach for your partner, without being over the top.
Written in the first person, the main character Claire, is someone you can relate to. You will easily slip right into this story and not put it down until you are done.
Make sure to read the other novels by Gabaldon that come before this one, they are all equally enjoyable and will help you to understand the characters and motivations of the story.
Perfect reading for a long weekend indoors, wrapped in a blanket with a cup of something warm!

I've read all of Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series books and loved them all. And so I was inspired to purchase these books for my collection. Diana Gabaldon is an excellent author, very descriptive and tells a story that is just spellbinding. I'd highly recommend her books.

Lovin' the "Outlander" series!. This is the 5th of 6 books. Have read the first 4, working on this one, and the 6th one waiting. These books have everything! Adventure, romance, history, sci- fi,.... I'm in love with Jamie Fraser!!! If only there was such a man.I recommend the entire series...can't wait for the 7th book due out this year.

One of a series, starting with the Outlander. Easy to read, hard to put down--you will like them. Jamie, Clair and the rest of the characters become real and you care whether good or bad befall them.

I bought the book for my daughter to complete her set of Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series. It's a wonderful series for anyone interested in romance, history and time travel. You'll fall in love with the characters and "the places you'll go" make the reading worthwhile.

This lady knows how to tell a story. As far-fetched as the story line seems, it pulls you in and you can't put the book down. I wait with excitement for each new book by this author. Anyone who is into fictional historical romance or time travel stories will fall in love with Jamie & Claire as I have.
