Album Notes The Individuals: Glenn Morrow (vocals, guitar, saxophone, keyboards); Jon Light Klages (vocals, guitar, keyboards); Janet Wygal (vocals, keyboards, bass guitar); Doug Wygal (drums, percussion). Though the Individuals lasted a very short time and only released two records, they stand alongside the Feelies and the dB's as one of the pivotal bands of the jangly-guitar 1980s Hoboken scene. Siblings Doug and Janet Wygal went on to form the Wygals, while leader Glenn Morrow founded the estimable Bar/None Records label. This 21-track complete anthology gathers both 1982's FIELDS and 1983's AQUA MARINE, as well as three rare single-only tracks, including a five-and-a-half-minute dance mix of the band's signature song, "Dancing With My Eighty Wives."
Editorial Reviews 3.5 stars out of 5 -- [T]his spacey, spunky quartet made strange-angled modern shapes from spongy new-wave grooves, bristling guitar tangles and the dry, airy harmonies of singer-guitarist Glenn Morrow and willow blond bassist Janet Wygal. Blender
3.5 stars out of 5 -- [T]he Individuals were one of the first Amerindie bands, playing nervy post-punk, pop, and dance music for blank-generation kids. Spin
