Fester's Quest (Nintendo, 1989)

Along the way, Fester encounters Addams Family characters such as Thing, Wednesday Addams, and Pugsley Addams, all of whom help him by giving him with different weapons and items. It's an overhead shooter.

Fester may enter certain buildings, which transform the game from its standard overhead view into a 3D mode of play akin to a dungeon crawl. In most buildings, Fester encounters one of five enormous Alien Boss characters, which upon defeat will supply him with a puzzle piece, a picture of the alien's UFO, and refill all of his items. After defeating a boss, Fester will leave the building and be unable to backtrack through it to previously visited areas.

A secret level accessible with the Game Genie device allows Fester to watch schoolchildren play in a park. The goal of this level is not clear, but it's possible it was an area cut from the final game but not removed from the game's data

I played this game back in 1990 and thought it was alot of fun, just hard. I recently purchased it and played again(20 yrs later) And was I unpleasntly surprised. The game reminds me of Blaster Master for the NES (when you are out of SOFIA) except Fester is alot slower,weaker,and has worse weapons. Also enemies are alot stronger. I really don't know what they had in mind when producing this game but if you want a real challenge on the NES give it a try.

One of the best NES games I have ever played, still presents an amazing challenge even today! I would reccomend this game to any NES fan!

Great Game! Fun and easy to play. Lots of action, but no blood and guts. I had this game years ago and recently purchased it again. I love it.

A nice little game with alot more depth than one would expect from a game this old. Fun to play and great for any collection.

What an awesome games; I can't wait to play it. I just bought another nes controller off eBay so I can finally have one that works. I am so excited for Fester's game.....yah!!!!

I made the mistake of buying this game for 95 cents. Festers Quest is not even worth that much.

I have a couple complaints: Why does Fester move so slow? Why are the weapons so crappy? Why can't those annoying bubble things in the sewer just die? With major problems like these, I'm beginning to think that the developers were high when they made this. I would've rated this game poorly, but since I love the Addams Family, I'm going to be nicer than usual and give it a 2.

Looking for this game for awhile, found it at a fantitic price, great condition. Fast ship. Would buy from again.

The game's a classic if you remember it like I did - playing it on snow days with your cousin over. If you don't have any fond memories, avoid it. You probably won't like it.

It IS some of the worst gameplay you'll EVER see on the NES. The gun control is just mutilated and it's impossible to get past all those frogs.

Went I brought the game Contra, I really have no idea that I was getting a game call Fester's Quest (Nintendo). The picture that was posted was a picture of the game that I want to buy…Contra. Went the game comes in and I opened it, it wasn’t the game I wanted and pay for.
