Ferris Bueller's Day Off (DVD, 1999, Sensormatic)

This is one of those great teenage friend flicks --- The tittle caracter ferris fakes and illness to get out of school and then springs his friends to share in the fun... Then there is the principal hell bent on proving that ferris skipped and wasn't sick and the older sister who is jelious that her brother skipped and is out also to prove it...... Very fun movie and a must Watch classic.!..

Some may see this flick as a bit childish. But to me, looking back on high school years, it brings me back to a time in my life when I had no cares or worries. From the beginning it is obvious that it is meant to be lighthearted and comedic. It does not dissappoint in the laughter department. The acting is very 1980's, but Matthew Broderick's performance is timeless. He takes a day off from school to epic proportions. Why do I like this movie? Because it makes me feel like a teenager again and it subconciously reminds us all to seize the day and to stop and smell the flowers once in a while.

This is my absolute favorite movie of all time! Lots of good music, great scenery and hilarious one-liners. Guaranteed to make you laugh and (if you're a kid of the 80s) possibly reminisce!!

Tip: If you go to Chicago, it's a blast to do the "Bueller" tour - see how many places (from scenes in the movie) around town you can visit! :) I've done it several times and I have fun each and every time!!

Ferris Bueller's Day Off - What can I say. I'm sure you all have seen it by now. There really is nothing to dislike about this movie. Great cast, great story, great movie.

Ahh to Day Dream! I think we have all done it at one time or another during our school years! Young and old will be able to relate to this movie! It is filled with fun and I highly recommend it!

I WOULD HIGH RECOMMEND THIS INSPIRATIONAL MOVIE TO ANYONE, WHO APPRECAITE FREEDOM. I GOT TO ADMIT THE TALE OF THIS STORY WAS INCREDIBLE. IT GIVE ME A DEEP THOUGHT ON HOW AND WHAT WE DO IN LIFE CAN CHANGE IN AN INSTANT. LIFE HAS ITS FUN YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN DAY TO DAY. THERE ARE SO MANY TWIST AND TURNS. I AM GREATFUL WHAT I HAVE. WE ARE PUT ON EARTH FOR SUCH A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME. WE GOT TO USE EVERY DAY, MINUTES AND SECONDS TO THE MAX.

i liked the movie, but i did not remember the over use of cuss words. one word was used over and over again, without the one word it would be a much better movie. my daughter would not have to ask me "is that the way kids talk in high school."

The DVD was in good condition but it was the last of four different vendors to arrive (all ordered at the same time) and considerably later that all the rest.

Bought it for my twin newphew(17yrs old) who totally loves this movie. He was surprised I found it.

Ferris Bueller is a cult classic.
Fun to watch. I decided to buy it because I know I'll watch it over and over again. It's funny and quirky.

AWESOME movie! If your ever depressed watch this movie and it will definitely put a smile on your face. We all wish we can be as lucky as Ferris!

this movie is one of my favorite movies of all time, Matthew Broderick is amazing in this movie, and just the whole premise of the movie is fantastic.

I bought this version of the DVD release because of the rare Director's commentary. Worth every penny!

I have loved this movie for years. I remember back in the 1980's when the movie came out. I have the vhs and it got worn out. I am so glad to find it on dvd. I know I have just bought it but I have already watched it about 10 times. I know a lot of the lines by heart. It is so funny. There isn't too much bad to say about it. I do wish I could find it in full screen also. I have wide screen. That would be the dislike. I want full screen. I want both.

What's better than skipping school with Matthew Broderick and a Ferrari
while one-uping the Principal? I love the character development, simple
but fast paced light hearted story-line, and the feel-good factors...
simply a must for my movie collection.
