La Femme Nikita - The Complete Second Season (DVD, 2004, 6-Disc Set)

I bought this because I had really enjoyed the series when it was on television and I do miss it now that the story is finished and off the air. I have previous bought and watched the first season.
This is the season where everything starts to come together. I had not remembered just how good the casting was nor how much I had enjoyed the twists and turns of Section 1. It is evident that the writers did not have an arc planned for the eventual end of the series but this was okay given that at this point no one had any idea the show would run for as long as it did. If you like the show on television, you will like it in the DVD. If you like spy stories - especially dark ones - you will like this. I enjoyed the extra footage (cut scenes and humor disk - who knew Madeline could laugh?) a great deal.

One note: I had forgotten that Sian Phillips who played Adrian also played in "I, Claudius" as Livia,where she was also absolutely brilliant. She only appears in the last two episodes but the conflict between her and Operations is wonderful. How grand to be able to add such a powerful actress to a television show!

Great acting, great stories, great production value. Yes, I am a fan but what more can one want?

This was a quality show with quality performances by talented actors! Section, the people you love to hate and Nikita, the hottie you love to love, plus action, intrigue and planty of spies vs. spies, this show entertains again and again and again.

It was a fast transaction and delivery. The product was in very good condition, especially considering the reasonable pricing of the product.

Great Canadian television production. Very stylized, excellent acting talent starring Peta Wilson and Roy Dupuis.

This show has great characters, engaging stories and a truly creepy "secret", CIA-like organization that is either the good guys or the bad guys depending on the circumstances. In season two the character development has deepened and I believe the show continues to be a story about the people and not just the guns, bombs, black leather, and save the world missions. Moral dilemmas abound in the story telling and the answers and conclusions are not always black or white.

The show is very simple; the good guys win and the bad guys get punished, or deleted as they constantly say. Somewhat mirrors some other shows, particularly the set that has Sidney Bristow as the heroine. Can't remember the name of it offhand. A nice feature is that each episode is neatly packaged, with a beginning, a middle, and a conclusive end. Worth a look, particularly in light of the dearth of good "stuff" out there. Bill
