I was very disappointed. I was under the impression I was receiving the book pictured. I did not receive this book but an earlier version. I would of been able to cope with this, but then the book was completely filled out and had writing throughout it. The combination of if being the wrong edition and filled out completely makes the book worthless and I just wasted my money.

I think the author really understand the depression patients although he himself may not have this experience. His cure and suggestions are warm and practical. Just read it carefully and you will find that however you are feeling frustrated, at least this book is your true friend and can help you. Don't go suicide without reading through this book!!

You can feel good with this book!
Review created: 04/13/08

Originally recommended by my counselor, it has been a good supplement to therapy. Dr. Burns gives simple yet thorough explanations on how to approach dealing with the everyday of life, with a variety of examples to illustrate. My only gripe is that it's taken a while to get through the book, but the strategies I have put into practice so far do help and I look forward to discovering more tools to "beat the blues"!

  The feel Good Handbook
Review created: 02/11/08

This book was highly recommended by a friend. I decided to purchase it to read it for myself. Cognitive Therapy is truly the best means to overcome issues of depression & anxiety, especially when they stem from past experiences of life. The more knowledge and insight we gain in these areas the healthier we are and the more knowledge we gain so that we can help others or understand others that deal with these types of issues.

This book should be taught in high school. If more people studied the precepts in David's book there would be less VA TECH episodes. It changed my life! I gave it as gifts.
