Great Wedges for all skill levels

If you swing the club, vs. hitting, you will get fantastic results. Ball lands on the green as soft as a butterfly with sore feet. Guess who uses the 60o? Hint: he's left handed.

  73 degreee wedge~hard to hit
Review created: 12/18/08

If you tend to scull, hit fat, shank a sand or lob wedge like me, this is truly not your club. It's nicely made, good shaft, etc. but it's SO hard to hit. I kept stats on how often it saved me a stroke or two, and how often it cost me dearly. My ratio was 1-in-5 over five rounds. Direction and distance control are very demanding; but the latter is the most exasperating. When hit well, the ball goes amazingly high and lands very softly. I got 40-50 yards max; 15-30 yards with a full swing were more common.

The new Feel wedges, a new concept put into play
Review created: 12/08/07

I have purchased 3 of the Feel wedges in the past month or so, the 60 degree, the 64 degree and the 73 degree wedge. I like these wedges because of 3 main characteristics, the R-flex shaft, the Pro Release grip (these help the feel of the club) and the low bounce or sharp leading edge. I have found with my current swing lessons that my chipping and pitching swing has become more shallow or flatter and these wedges fit that profile very well. The sharp leading edge is good for the tight fairways and the more firm bunkers in Florida. The two things I did not like about these wedges were the very heavy swing weight of each club (D5 to D9) and the length of each club (36 inches). Trimming the shaft to 35.25 inches helped both of those aspect of the club. Overall, these are very nice wedges if you need wedges with low bounce for the conditions the golf courses you play.

If it FEELS Right, it must BE right
Review created: 04/09/07

Great club. The 60* is flat enough to flop onto a curvy green and stick, or by placing the ball a little back, send it 30-50 easy yards high with just a bit of back-spin. I really like the FEEL grips. They reduce the white-knuckle effect and with the 60* loft you can take a full swing, instead of wondering if you're "tapping" it just right. It took me a while to stop blading the ball, sending it a hundred yards past the hole, but once I settled down it was easy to get the feel (no pun intended) of the distance. Definitely no complaints and I got it at a great price, too. What else can you ask for? How about the luck of Zach Johnson!
