New Orleans punk-poppers Cowboy Mouth have been home-town heroes since the early 1990s, and enjoyed a minor hit with this 2008 album's "Kelly Ripa," a paean to the perky morning show hostess. The most rocking tune here, though, is the punky "Belly," featuring a simple but infectious guitar riff and lyrics that praise a lover's most underrated body part. Another highlight is "Outside Looking In," is a surprisingly lush power ballad.
