It arrived in the mail on Friday. I got home at 7 and started reading. Finished it at 11am Saturday morning (after a good night's sleep).
There isn't a moment of boredom. In fact, there isn't a moment that won't blow your mind.
The writing is intense and sometimes disorienting. Thompson is one of the best writers of this century. To pass on this book is to ignore a massive chunk of the American culture of his time. Buy the book. Take the ride.

Thompson's Vegas is addled and unshakable. One of the best accounts of the search for altered states of consciousness. It alters your view of reality while shedding light on the life of journalist and icon, hunter s thompson.

Frankly, I'm a bit of a fanboy when it comes to the movie, and I've been pining for a good novel to read for a while, so I decided to pick this one up.

I love the book, movie, and Hunter S. Thompson...there is only one problem though, i'm not gay and I don't think he was either. Oh and Hunter is dead now...R.I.P.! read this book if you know what's good for your life
