Synopsis Across the universe, Jedi heroes fight for the light side and for their own preservation. As Luke and his son Ben follow their quest to understand Jacen Solo's ruination into the Maw Cluster, a leader from the dark-side Sith order also enters the Maw on a mission of her own. It is impossible for both teams to leave the cluster successfully. Who will triumph? Meanwhile Han and Leia Solo, along with their daughter Jaina, are challenging the corrupt and evil bureaucracies on their home soil. A scourge of mental illness is sweeping through the Jedi, taking hold of the minds of the warriors and leaving them broken. The Galactic Alliance Chief of State Natasi Daala has enacted a policy of arrest and cryogenic freezing for those afflicted with the insanity. In Troy Denning's third installment in the Fate of the Jedi series, Han, Leia, and Luke--all facing distinct adversities--must fight with their fullest powers to bring the peace to the galaxy.
