Fatal Frame (Xbox, 2002)

Fatal Frame is definatly one of the better survival horror games out there. Also the fact its based on an actual story makes it even cooler. After her brother goes missing inside of a creepy old mansion, you step into the shoes of a young japanese girl named Miku. Who later goes looking for her brother inside of the mansion while fighting off hundreds of angry spirits along the way. What really sets this game apart from the others is the fact our main heroine doesnt use a gun, a sword, or flashy fighting moves which we commonly see in horror games to defend herself. Instead Miku is armed with a simple old camera which she uses to ward off the evil spirits that try to attack her. Fatal Frame is by far much better than Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Siren, and many other horror games ive played before. There were a couple of minor things that bugged me tho. The camera sometimes isnt very responsive and could be a bit frusterating to use. Especially when there is more than one spirit attacking you. Also Miku runs really slow. Overall Fatal Frame is a great game to play especially late at night with the lights turned off off. This game will definatly make you jump out of your chair!
