Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly (Director's Cut) (Xbox, 2004)

Everything in Fatal Frame is perfect, great back sounds, great history, great characters, great music and freak and crip gosths. At firt time it can look the tradicional receipt: Hot and Curious Girls, rituals and some scares. Give this game a chance. I've played Fatal Frame until the end about 20 times, every time I played I get fright! Mayu and Miku are so sweet twins that can see what normal people cannot see. Following Crimson Butterflys they are locked in a town that have been vanished a long time ago, they find a so grudged and crip Sae and a weird ritual involving twins. It's the best scary game ever made. Playing a Fatal Frame you are just wanna play another version (the one and three are so great too), or playing it again, again, again!!! Do not forget to listen Chou from Tsukiko Amano in the end, she rocks!!! This music is amazing!!!

"A horror game without blood and gore... it must be dull..." you might think. Well, you are wrong... As you are playing with Mayu, a young girl followed by her twin sister Myo, you'll have to find a way out of a mysterious village where you will only meet wandering spirits and the only way to repel the is an old and rusty camera. The ghost are really scary especially when they get out of a wall, whisper or even shout at you (especially behind you). The various effects also increase the horror of the game just like when all the colors, the sounds and the music will fade away while you will only hear your heart beat or an hostile ghost laughing at you. The biggest problem in the game is when you get block, their is often no way to remember what you have to do and you will have to refer to Internet... which is long and not fun. But anyway, if you have the chance to reach the chapter 6 & 7, you will agree with me that it's one of the scariest game on XBOX.

THIS GAME HAD ME JUMPIN FROM MY SEAT EVERY NOW AND THEN. IT HAS LOTS OF SUSPENSE AND FRIGHTENING MOMENTS. IT'LL SPEED UP YOUR HEART RATE GUARANTEED. I HAD A GREAT TIME PLAYING THIS. IT'S A KEEPER.

If you're looking for a game to play late at night with the lights turned off then this is it! It's amazing how well the graphics look for an original x-box game. No problems with backwards compatibility on the 360.

I would recommend this game to anyone, the price may be steep for an older game but it's worth it!

Fatal Frame is a series of game that is intended to scare the player. I own and have played Fatal Frame II on the PS2 and there's been moments in the game that have made me want to stop playing the game all together; however, I seem compelled to pick up the controller and keep playing. Though I have yet to beat the game I plan on playing it on my Xbox and finishing the game. This game is an excellent game and I would gladly tell others to play this game, at least once.

The game came in good time and was in great condion. I really happy with it. ive been looking for this game for awile.

Not for the faint of heart. Starts out slowly over the first half hour, then gets pretty creepy, then scares the @$%$ out of you. Ive had it for two weeks and have only gotten an hour into it because I'm too scared to turn it back on. Scariest thing I've ever seen on a tv screen, movies included, not joking. So awesome.

It's definitely a must have for survival horror fans out there. It's a wonderful addition to the Fatal Frame saga. Unfortunately for Fatal Frame fans, unless you can read japanese and want to import part 4 it seems we won't get to see Fatal Frame 4 (Wii)here but I digress...in any case if there are prospective buyers for this game out there, you should definitely take a stab at this one. It's entertaining!

I love the game overall. The story is what drew me most to buy this game, because its so horrifying, yet so well told. You're fighting off ghosts with a camera, known as the camera obscura, which I have yet to see any other game do when it comes to killing the undead in a unique way. The music, when there is music, and the dialogue is well done and well placed, and its key to listen to the ghosts in order to know when to run or when you should strike out at them. The gameplay is solid, though there are occasional glitches here and there and backtracking, not that I mind that.

The first person view adds to the tension. it has a lot of replay as different endings are available as well as unlockable costumes and the desire to try and get 100% with all the photographs. The x-box version also comes with an alternate ending known as the Promise Ending. I would highly recommend this game to anyone who wants a different kind of horror game. Its a well told horror story that will have you worrying about ghosts wandering around your house playing it late at night.

Great game, played the first one liked, the second one was way better in my books, as the controls were easier. Game is one that you need to play with the window shades shut and all the lights off, this is one scary game. Looked all over my area for this game check a 3 state radius from my house, and no stores or game shops had this game, so I turned to Ebay to find it, and I did on the first day of looking.

I thought this game would have been different, but it wasn't what I expected. After playing it for awhile I reached a level that I cannot get past. This is discouraging and creates a lack of interest after trying everything you thought was possible to move you past that level. Plus my 9 year old son will not play it because he thinks it is to scary which may be a plus if you like that kind of thing. The game does challenge you though when it comes to figure out what you must do to proceed to the next level but it seems to lack the clues you need to help you through it.

I LOVE this game it draws you in whether you play it once or twice. It will creep you out, you will find yourself looking out your windows after your done playing or listening to noises in your house to find out what they are. I can't say enough good things about this game. I will buy fatal frame 3 and own and will soon be playing fatal frame. XBox graphice are Excellent

I love horror-themed games. This is very 'ringu-esque'. If you like games like Silent Hill, and Haunting Grounds, this is a game for you. Plus the characters MAyu and Mio are really cute :3

Its a very good game, better graphics than the 1st one but not as good story wise, I would recommend it if you are into games like Silent Hill but play the 1st one first.
