Fat Albert (DVD, 2009, English GEN (P&S/WS); Movie Cash)

This is a great family movie with tons of child freindly jokes. The actors fit the rolls of the characters in the cartoons perfectly. Starring SNL regular Kenan Thompson.

I found Fat Albert to be a family friendly and appropriate movie that revived long forgotten values.

In a world full of movies where cute little cartoon characters curse, and wicked stepsisters have 5 O'clock shadow, this is one of the few movies that kids can watch without the parent holding the proverbial bleep button.

Kids reaction: Although my kids had no idea whatsoever who Fat Albert was, they really enjoyed seeing a cartoon come through the television screen and come to life as well as the interaction between the cartoon world and the real world. My daughter was captivated by the suspense as to whether Fat Albert would get back into the TV before he turned into celluloid dust.

Adult reaction: You need to be 35 years or older, and a fan of the original Fat Albert Cartoon to enjoy it. I went to see the movie with such a group... and what can I say but... Hey, Hey, Hey... we had a good time! There were alot of what you would call inside jokes and without having a background knowledge of the cartoon, it would be likely that you would not find the jokes funny.

The acting: Contrary to many reviews, I found the acting to be right on point... yes Keenan Thompson portrayal of Fat Albert was a little stiff, but it seemed purposely stiff, and I would have been disappointed if his real life personality had been different from his cartoon persona.

This movie is when Fat Albert, a cartoon character hears Doris crying and he leave the cartoon and come to help Doris solve her problem. Her problem is that she has no friends and she is trying to fit in the best way she knows how. Fat Albert gives her that motivational boos the she needs and it really help Doris.

its funny,my daughter loves the movie and its very kid friendly.a great movie, to have some kids over watching and eating popcorn.brings me back several years too.

This DVD is a family favorite of ours. We bought it to replace one we had that broke, and we have watched it many times.

I bought this dvd because my 17 year old son loves this movie. I had previously watched this movie and I thought it was a very entertaining family-oriented movie. I don't recall any profanity in this movie so I really enjoyed it myself.

I rented this movie earlier this year and loved it so much that I had to own it. The choice of actors made to play the characters of Fat Albert and his gang was perfect. I also loved the fact that the movie included Bill Cosby. This movie is one of few movies that is based on a classic but doesn't change everything in the remake. Watching this Fat Albert movie was just like watching the classic Fat Albert. My kids laughed throughout the entire movie. Although they had never heard of Fat Albert, this was an instant hit with them. This is definitely a great, clean, family movie.

One of the worst I've ever seen. Poor acting, poor story line. The only thing to save it was Bill Cosby appearance at the end. How can anyone not like Bill Cosby!

A GREAT FAMILY MOVIE. MY BOYS, AGES 17,15, AND 7, WATCHES THIS MOVIE OVER AND OVER AGAIN. MY DAUGHTER (12), SAYS THAT IT IS ALSO THE PERFECT GIRL MOVIE. JUST LOVE IT.

I don't why this movie was so panned when it came out. What did people expect, it's a cartoon turned movie! Kenan Thompson brings Fat Albert from his late afternoon time-slot into the real world. Most of the time the movie straddles being clean and wholesome with street and hip, pulling off both. 'Fat ALbert' even has a plausible and thoughtout plot involving Fat ALbert's niece and pretty well placed lines by the characters. Also check for Dania Ramirez looking delicious throughout, while Kyla Pratt makes a great leading lady. Bill Cosby makes certain to close with a tribute to one of televisions great casts. Not for the 'too cool for school'crowd, but just right for fun on a late afternoon.

This movie is hilarious and fun to watch I hope you'll enfoy this movie eith loads of laughs and tons of fun and some sad moments This movie comes with widescreen and fulscreen versions,thaatrical trailers&more! I sure is a must see movie!!!!!!!!!!

On this particular movie, it came with scratches all over it and half way thru it, it completely stopped running with little boxes and slow motion frames of different kinds running thru it. I feel on this movie it was an illegal burned off movie (pirated.) It is the first one I have ever recieved from Ebay in this condition. I really wanted this movie for its humor and characters. Really disappointed.

My family and I enjoyed this movie immensely. It really helped bring across the idea of beauty being more than skin deep. Even though it was a little "corny" in some places, the kids loved it. I especially appreciated the reunion scene at the end of all the real gang from Fat Albert. It is a movie we will definitely enjoy over and over.

This is a very good family movie. We purchased this for our six year old, who just loves this movie.

I am upset because I NEVER received MY movie I PAID for right away! I have writen starwarfan but nothing came of it so now my kids will not get the one movie they truly wanted.......:(

Great family movie. My 5 year old loves it and watches often. Good message, nice characters, entertaining music and dancing. Very funny and endearing.

The movie has a lot of funny scenes. I love the movie because Bill Cosby wrote this movie and naturally that's the reason it is so good. There is nothing I dislike about this movie. It is EX-CEL-LENT.
