A film for fans of both William Smith & Cronenberg

I didn't really think I would like "Fast Company" when I received it as a Christmas gift this year, but I'm a huge fan of both actor William Smith and director David Cronenberg, so I watched it and was not disappointed. While I'm a fan of all of Cronenberg's films, it's nice to watch one where someone isn't mutating into some freakish creature. My main reason for watching it is I've been a fan of actor William Smith's for several years and normally always a villain in this film he's a good guy and I like his character, Lonnie "Lucky Man" Johnson. John Saxon is good as well as the villain boss of of the company sponsoring Lonnie and Claudia Jennings in her final role before her tragic death is great as Sammy, Lonnie's girlfriend.
Now the cons and there's only one, the music. Howard Shore did not score this film and the vocal numbers are so bad I muted the sound on my TV during any of them.
Overall I liked "Fast Company" and recommend it, especially to drag racing fans. I've become one since viewing this film. David Cronenberg did a good job and I can never say anything bad about a performance by William Smith.
