Old Fashioned Goodness

I remember my parent getting the Farm Journal Magazines when I was growing up. My dad got it for all the latest in farm stuff and my mom would clip out the recipes. We always looked forward to a meal featuring one of them. Over the years, Farm Journal has come out with books putting their very best recipes out there for all to use. It is back to basics and good down home cooking. No fuss or frills but the just the very best. I own all the cookbooks and use them when I want a simple, but no fail recipe for crust. They have recipes you won't find in many other cookbooks like their "Buttermilk Pie in Cornmeal pastry," or "Snowstorm Squash Pie,"...."Apple Molasses Pie,"....or "Peach Plum Pie." There are many more recipes that seem to have been lost over the years. These are books to add to your collection.
