Far Cry Instincts Predator (Xbox 360, 2006)

Gameplay - First off the gameplay is very solid. Theres a lot to do in the game.... First you can play instincs story mode wich took me about 12 hours to complete... And then you have the evolution story wich took me about 6 hours to complete. The single player is rock solid and will keep you busy a little while. The multiplayer is probablly the best part of the game feautring some great multiplayer modes as well as some great weapons.

Graphics- The graphics in this game look like a xbox game in a higher resolution but there not bad. They still look ok.

Sound- Not much I can say in sound its not excellent nor terrible.Solid sound all around Value- The pretty good value in this game. Featuring a lot to do in the single player aspect. As well as the multiplater aspect.

tilt- It all comes out to be a very solid game and should be at least rented by anyone who hasent played far cry and is a fan a fps...

well i really couldn t decide what to say the game is great but the graphics look exactly like all the other far crys ever is kinda like the xbox 360's graphics i also like that u cant just blow through this in a day it takes a pretty long time to beat this game and when u beat it u play another part the online is great i like that u can play with the map u made online it is so fun it is cool that the traps actually work in this when u r really deap in water u go under ground and that is really stupid because of that i almost gave it a 4 out of five but i loved this game so much i have to give this game a 5 out of 5

I'll be brief, I have played first person shooters for almost 10 years, and this game has some of the worst control I have ever experienced. The controls are miserable. The sensitivity is horribly out of whack and, worse, you can't even change the default controls to a familiar control scheme such as in Call of Duty 2.

The controls are so bad I seriously got motion sick playing the game. I have never got sick playing a game, ever. I actually played the Xbox version initially and I found the controls were pretty good, but they are horrible on the Xbox 360.

There is good content and the weapons are neat, but the control is just so bad and the targeting reticle doesn't help matters.

EDIT: It is my understanding that the game has since been patched, and the controls have been fixed to a degree.

Horrible animation and horrible controls. This game is not Xbox 360 quality. It's not even Xbox quality. The map maker is pretty cool though, I guess.

Its a xbox game thats ported to the 360 console.

A little more detail, more smoother, a little but its a fair title.
There are two games in this title.
One is the xbox Instincts story and the next is the Evolution story.
All are somewhat the same in difficulty, easy, normal and hard or.. hunter, predator almost all play the same, no difference in difficulty. The difficulty levels dont stack which means on some games, when you played the highest difficulty and won, you unlocked medium and easy difficulty achievements too.

In Farcry your going to have to play each difficulty to unlock each difficulty achievements. One thing that does stack are the kills and the missing Kreiger samples, for example you can get 40 backstab kills from a easy campaign and a harder campaign.

Using cheatcodes will NOT negate the achievements, so that will help you.
the "Bloodlust" give full feral power, "UnleashHell" is infinite ammo but still need to reload and "IamJackCarver" restores full health were the most helpful cheats to me.

Another thing, I found that lying down will make you immune to melee attacks but not to gunfire. I used this technique in the first part of the final battle on the Insincts story, I went to the corner, lied flat and shot the spawning mutants then got up did the second part with the boss. This is helpful on the bridge level with the two snipers on the Evolution story, in the middle, behind the sand bags (on left when you first encounter the bridge and the doors close) if you work this glitch, you can snipe the jumping guys and the two snipers (even on the highest difficulty)

Multiplayer is lacking if not empty, if you can get another person to help you, you can do most of the counting achievements easily, trap kills, grenade kills, runover vehicle kills, headshots. For the capture the flag, capture the sample and predator achievements, this can be done by yourself. Done by winning matches, not by points in each match, go for the lowest point, lowest time and play (with) by yourself.

The achievements unlock after the match ends.
Your 360 console should be in good condition before attempting the Uber geek achievement.

I love the Far Cry series so I was hoping for magic when I seen they were porting to the 360. But sadly that is all it is, a port. You do get Instincts and Evolution but they are the exact same games that you played on the Xbox. Nothing new is added and the graphics are last generation. But if you have not experienced Far Cry, this is a perfect opportunity. This is probably the best competition Halo has had in the 1st person shooter genre as far as Xbox Live play goes. The thing that makes this game different from others is a great map maker that can allow you to have endless battles. You will probably spend hours just messing around with it. The gameplay is fun but can feel a little too linear even though you may constantly find yourself lost in the jungle. AI may be too smart and will kill you a lot so be prepared to die. There is a lot of game on this disc but you may have already played it once and I really can't recommend a purchase if you already own the originals. Rent before you Buy. 4/5

Get back into the Farcry world with farcry: instincts predator with 2 full singleplayer adventures and awesome multiplayer. The detail and graphics in this game is utterly amazing and if you are a fan of FIRST PERSON SHOOTERS, this game is definantly for you! pick one up right away! you wont be dissapointed!

I played both PC and Xbox 360 versions of the game and XBOX 360 version is inferior to PC. The graphics in the game are a mixed bag. Some graphics are very nice and feel next gen but mostly graphics are Xbox quality. The biggest disappointment though is AI. The opponents in the PC version are much "smarter" than in Xbox 360 version. The game is not challenging and somewhat boring if difficulty is set lower than the highest "predator" level. Even at this level AI is only average at best but at least it takes more “lead” to kill enemies. The game is fun nonetheless with introduction of predator instincts, which are a great addition. I really like auto-saving in the game which is frequent and it always is done at the right moment. I did not play online so I won’t comment on that. I’ve read some reviews though and it seems like online play is a lot of fun. I give this game 3 out of 5.

Okay looks great but where are the cross hairs for shots to be fired??Big round circle for what???Sure is not to aim if so they do not hit target!Driving is a nightmare very hard to work,seen better titles!

All in all this is a fun game to play! The graphics are very very nice! The game runs butter smooth throughout. Game play is fun and missions are very long so you get your money worth. All in all a great game for the 360! Had the original for xbox, and it was still worth it to buy this version because of the added levels.

This guy stole my money. Ebay contacted me AFTER I sent this guy money. He cashed my check and that was that. The contact number ebay gave me was worthless. The aggrivation to try to get back a few dollars from the purchase would have been not worth the effort. Ebay was not helpful, in fact claimed I HADN'T won this auction at all so I had to battle with ebay to prove I did. Ebay was no help at all.

One of the best shooters ever. Lots to do and you don't want it to end......................Awesome game!

A great buy. The game comes with a more in depth version of the first game, Far Cry Instincts. The disk provides you with both of the campains

Game is just so-so I played far cry 2 first and this is no where the quality of far cry 2. I would be swayed a different way on this purchase had I known

I love this game. With the origional game and additional play, makes it an adventure in its own to play. Also the multi player is always fun too.
Overall, pretty well designed and functional.

i'm in to alot of shooter games and never played this one,so i decided that at this great price i couldn't pass it up and the seller was great on shipping and keeping in touch with me threw the whole transaction.

Ever wanted to be the predator from the movies? This game sure does give you that option. You end up stranded on an island after your motor boat breaks down. The island is filled with angry battalions of pirates. They hunt you down with helicopters, buggies, and trucks. Seems like you're being hunted right? Wrong,you are taking them down and after uncovering a powerful secret you become the predator.

The game is two games instincts and predator. Both games are about 30 hours long. The game also comes with a map editor so you can build maps. There is also more free content online. This game is definitely worth it.

I only play about 15 minutes of the campaign and it seems to be a promising game. The physics/gameplay reminds me of bioshock but not quite. Multiplayer is real fun as heck and I think the game shines on that aspect. Great game so far and cant wait to play the rest. Right now im playing dead rising and f.e.a.r as my night game.

Having played a demo of the original Far Cry Instincts for XBOX, I skipped over the enhanced XBOX 360 Far Cry Instincts/Instincts Preditor (which was really more of a FarCry 1 1/2 than a sequel), and went straight to FarCry 2 on PS3 (which was not really a sequel either, but rather another story and character altogether, along with a completely new game engine and graphics,- still, a great game in its own right).

Now that I have come back around to play FarCry Instincts and Preditor, I can appreciate it for it own worth,- though the environment is miniscule in comparrison to the expansive area that can be covered and traveled back and forth within without getting boring in FarCry 2.

FarCry Instincts/Preditor is a pretty basic firstperson shooter that while allowing for some interesting elements in exploring environments,- is conspicuously missing the natural expected elements that would make the experience more believable,- which would be some serious interactive wildlife. (FarCry 2 suffered the same failed imagination and creative element that should have made it more plausible,- such as no crocodiles attacking waterbuffalo or zebra crossing water,- and of course would have posed a heartpounding threat to players crossing water as well).

I cannot count the number of times I was point blank shooting an enemy in the face with a shotgun, only to have them continue to finish whatever stupid nonsense they were lipping off to me, as if I hadn't hit them,..NO DAMAGE,.. when I could have poked out their eye with the barrel! It doesn't occur continually, but happens enough to really piss you off,- when you work your ass off to stealthfully get the drop on them.

Both Preditor and FarCry 2 are great games, but have AI that can get inanely repetative in their actions and dialog, but provide enough variety in weapons, enemies and behaviour/tactics to continue to present a challenge and carry a reasonably well written storyline.

All of the FarCry games have replay value and are must have additions to any collectors library.

I have scored FarCry Instincts Preditor 4 of 5 stars, but that is relative to other console games published when it was. The PC version was better, and FarCry 2 still only scores 4 of 5 stars, in spite of being considerably better than its predecesor,- as I am rating it against console games that were published when it was and are its better.

I think Far Cry has one of the best story lines, he makes you want to keep playing until your finished. It's a very good game and whats better than creating your own maps?!!

It's a realistic 1st person shooter game that has great sound and graphics. You can drive most vehicles, pick up any weapons found, and you acquire superior abilities (strength, sight, smell, hearing).

Thisgame puts other shooter games to shame the only thing I'm not a fan of is that you can't skip some of the intros, But I LOVE THE XBOX 360WAY BETTER THAN THE PS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BEST FIRST PERSON SHOOTER (other than Ghost Recon: Advanved Warfighter series). It is very exciting, but is a little excessive in the amount of F-Bombs...
