Fantasy Lover is the first book in the dark hunter novels. I loved it. I have read several others in this series and I loved them all.I think this may be my favorite in the series so far. Sherrilyn Kenyon is a great Writer with a wonderful imagination. Julian of Macedon is attuned to a woman's desires.He has been trapped in a book for two thousand years as his punishment.Only to released for the pleasure of women. Grace Alexander is a human Woman who cannot understand why anyone as good looking and charming as Julian would be interested in her.Instead of having sex with this Gorgeous man, she teaches him all about Todays world.Will she break the spell and release him from the punishment or maybe not???? This is a Funny and VERY SEXY Paranormal Romance mixed with Greek Mythology in today's World... Believe it or not IT IS GREAT!I highly recommend this book!You will Laugh out Loud!

Having read all of the Dark Hunter series by Kenyon, I finally picked up this one. I have to admit to being a little put off by the plot synopsis (a love slave?) but was pleasantly surprised to find Kenyon's quirky sense of humor intact. This book could be considered a prequel to the Dark Hunter series as it features (or mentions) many of the characters who appear in later DH novels. Aphrodite, Athena, Eros and Psyche also make appearances. This is a little shorter than her other books, but Kenyon squeezes quite a bit into it. Highly recommended for fans of Sherrilyn Kenyon or paranormal/fantasy romance.

There is no way I could have found this book for a better price! I don't like sharing my personal accounts on the internet, but with ebay I can use paypal. And the book arrived so quickly! I have never read fantasy lover, for I could not find it! Now I have read the beginning of Sherrilyn Kenyon's series... thank you!

I absolutely love this author! This is the first book in her Dark series, and a wonderful read. I couldn't put it down. I stayed up all night just to finish it!The characters are well thought out, and the plot is exceptional. I did not read this book first, I had bought a different one instead. I had to go back and find all of the begining books that were in the series because they are so well thought out. I highly recommend this book to anyone that likes paranormal romance!

I was looking for a new paranormal romance series to read after having read Christine Feehan's Carpathian series. I did a search and Fantasy Lover popped up. It intrigued me that while people usually set Gods apart from their human subjects, Sherrilyn took them and made them more human. The interactions of the Greek Gods with humanity is interesting. While it is not your typical vampire/werewolf/wizard - paranormal, it is a great story in its own right. I adore Sherrilyn's abilities to tie things together and the rich personalities each of her characters have. This book is the first is her Dark-Hunter series which introduces characters in later books. Fantasy Lover was a great read and since finishing it, I have passed it on to 3 friends. If you like romance novels and like stories that stray from stereotypical "romance" scenerios, I would urge you to pick up this book.

I just began reading Sherriyn Kenyon's books. I started way out of order reading Acheron 1st then Bad Moon Rising 2nd. After those 2 I decided to start at the beginning and see where it took me. We do not have any used bookstores anymore where I live so I decided to try half.com,found a place that had all of them.
I have now read all but One Silent Night & Dream Warrior. Her books are a new and unique twist on the tried & true entertainment of the vampire-werewolf genre. If you decide to try her books you will not be disappointed and you will grow to love many of her characters. They may be Mad, Bad & Immortal but have all the weaknesses and frailties of the human condition. I would recommend these books to anyone who wants a rip-roaring good time.

I loved it!!!!Ms.Kenyon is one of todays best writers,hands down.I love the way she combines history,romance and mythology.I have never been disapointed with one of her novels. I'm working my way thru each one and enjoying every moment!! This one had me on the edge of my seat,rooting for Julian all the while! Anybody would love this book.There are some very hot and steamy love scenes,not for the prudish!

I bought it becuase i heard it was a great romance novel with plenty of pasion for one other
I liked the chemistry Grace and Julian had together. Grace was intelligend and brave and Julian was handsom and strong they made perfect chemistry that made the book so interesting
I dislike the fact that the gods could punesh Julian in gruel way torturing him for centuries and centuries being stuck in a dark place alone , starving and thirsty. And have to do every the summoner told him to do. No wonder have didn't care if he died.

A Huge New Fan Of SherrilynThis was my first Kenyon book. Absolutely loved it. This was a very sweet love story. I loved the fact the heroine wasn't perfect, as in body image, like most people and where can you have such a sympathetic, loveable hero that has a sixpack to die for and falls in love with an everday woman. Very nice blending of romance and paranormal. I'm currently on the fastrack to collecting all of Kenyon's other work.

A friend of mine at work saw that I was reading a romance novel & she told me I have not read anything yet until I have read one of Sherrilyn Kenyon's books & she was right! THEY ARE SO AWESOME..I have all of her Dark Hunter books & a good portion of her books she wrote under the name of Kinley Macgregor. Also today as soon as I get off work ..I am running out & buying Sherrilyn Kenyon's new book A Devil May Cry..I am so excited..I can't wait to get off work so I can go get it.. All of Sherri's DH Novels bring you into the mind of the characters and thier personal struggles with what fate has handed them. Fantasy Lover is no different. A good read that will whisk you away to an errotic, adventure filled place!

This book like all Sherrilyn kenyons work is intriging, once you start you cannot put down. I started by reading one of her books and bought the rest in her series. Fantasy Lover in particular being first of her dark hunter novels, uses imagination, with dreams, and fantasy. Being a woman I have thoughts of what this book occurs, life with a fantasy love twist. Excellent book!!

Fantasy LoverI thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was fast paced and interesting, but wasn't quite what I expected. The mixing of Greek mythology, history, and current romantic fiction worked very well. It even made me a fan of Sherrilyn Kenyon. I have now purchased and/or read the entire Dark Hunter series and eager await more. I have also gone on to read her other books - the BAD series and the historical romances.
