Fantasy Floral Quilts by Bonnie Lyn McCaffery (2001, Paperback, Illustrated)

This is a most excellent book for those who love to quilt but want a change from making the traditional quilt blocks and tops.

This book shows, in step-by-step detail, how to make 3-D embellished quilts out of silk flowers, fabric, beads and other embellishments. It is easy to understand, even for the novice.

I have made several quilts based on ideas from this book and have sold many of them - not to mention getting lots of "oohs" and "aahs" by the designs.

This is definitely an addicting quilt-making process and is highly recommended for those who like variety, or who enjoy altered-art types of projects.

I liked the idea and look of the designs. I bought it to increase my applique techniques. After receiving the book I found it not to be helpful for me. The book is well presented and good instructions and photos.
