Whistlestop Cafe is filled with easy, scrumptious recipes. Everything I made from the book was heaven to my husband. He actually started reading it and picking things out. There are great old pictures and funny anecdotes on at least half the pages. Its one of my very favorite cookbooks, and I've got over 20 of them. Fannie includes alot of simple little tricks that save time, make it easier, or make it better. You would be so glad if you bought this book.

) Fannie Flagg is the greatest author, and she did not let me down in this recipe book by garnering some of the best dishes from the South. I have tried several and had my seven year old son help, and he could do most of them on his own, well with a little help from a proud father.

I am a cookbook collector and so when I find a book I want I check it out and then I put in a bid, and I loved the book, it had everything in it and was in beautiful shape also. Plus the name of the book was a grabber cause we have a Whistle Stop Cafe near us in the little town of Paradise. Of coarse I love all my cookbook collection. When something is used it has more personality and means more to the person collection them, you find hidden treasures in them also.
