Outstanding, but not well known movie
This is one of our all time favorite movies. Well written - beautifully acted - great story, well told. Robert Duval and James Earl Jones lead a cast that is outstanding. When it first came out, there was talk of the actress who plays Auntie T getting an academy award. Alas, small movies rarely get that far. Certainly it was the best supporting actress performance of the year. This is about race, and family, and how somehow people find a way to each other, no matter how difficult it may seem.
It is a shame that this wonderful movie got almost no publicity or notice when it was released. But that's no reason not to see it on DVD - you will not be sorry.
