This was so hilarious. The Family will make any family seem sane. They are really messed up, but thats the comedy of it. Don't miss this movie you'll love it. It's not appropriate for kids.

What a funny, sweet movie. I cried several times through the movie. I ended up watching it twice in two days I liked it so much - and that is not like me. I can't wait to watch it again - and it's somewhat realistic, and so, so funny... and sad at times, too.

I had seen the movie along time ago but it was a movie that stayed with me. I saw it and had to have it for my collection. I can recommend this movie to any adult that like movie that are real to life not something that is made up in some hollywood studio. This movie shows that families are not perfact and not everything goes as planned. It is a movie that shows the pain and the joy of a family all at the same time. I think I have watched this movie more then any other movie I have purchassed. It showed to me that sometimes the worse things turn out to be the best things that could ahve happen. Watch it, Get you Drinks and popcorn before it starts. Sit there and watch the movie and don't be afraid to ues the back up button.

Very good modern Christmas story about todays world. Seems like it could be based on a true story. The whole family enjoyed it.

I bought this for an aunt who is ill and housebound. She loves movies but has not been out to see one for many years. We gave her a nice little TV with a DVD player and began buying movies from half.com She said she feel like she died & went to the Cannes or Sundance Film Festival Heaven! I saw the movie from Netflix and loved it. I wanted to own my own new copy, so I went onto EBay and mad my purchase . I considered the new copies only and compared shipping. Touches the heart; good comedy and a great cast. Has some very intense moments that makes you feel like you're right there.

We loved the fact that we could definitely relate to the family in this movie. A close nit, down to earth family trying to tolerate a person that just doesn't fit in with the group. It's amusing in what happens to Sarah Jessica Parker's character as she tries too desperately hard to make everyone like her. If your family is close, this might be the movie for you.

I was very satisfied with my product, i of course love the movie and have rented it so many times that i finally broke down and purchased it. The DVD was in great shape, and was delivered quickly. I have watched it more times than i can count since receiving it, in fact i'm taking a break now so i don't become too sick of it. The movie is so stupendous though i'm laughing one minute and crying the next, if you haven't seen it i highly recommend you do.

Wasn't able to see this one at the theater, so I rented it first to see if it was one to watch more than once. The answer was, "YES, I've got to buy it." The cast worked well together and it felt like you were eavesdropping on this family's Christmas. I laughed out loud a number of times, and shed a few tears as well. The only negative side for me was some of the language.

So, so love this movie. It has serious undertones, but it is such a great story and has such a wonderful cast, plus I laughed until I cried.

Very funny movie. It makes you feel much better about your own disfunctional family, these guys win hands down and they do it in a very very funny way.

Last year my husband and I purchased this film after reading several of its favorable reviews. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to any of them. It's general theme is of a man bringing his fiancee home to meet his family at Christmas during which they spend the entire time making fun of her while she compulsively obsesses over making a good impression. Of course, everything goes wrong as in well-crafted comedies although it just doesn't work in this Christmas farce. The family seems to have a general condescending attitude right from the first meeting, and who needs Diane Keaton dying of breast cancer in a holiday movie? The only saving grace is Luke Wilson whose kind gestures and eventual attraction towards the badly-shaken fiancee is such good acting that you're almost tempted to forget the rest of this disappointing film. But you won't... I still haven't forgotten it! And, oh, by the way, we didn't even bother to finish it. Save your money and watch It's A Wonderful Life instead.

It's a very sweet and enduring story with laugh out loud humor. A for sure Christmas classic. Diane Keaton is EXTROIDINARY and Sarah Jessica has a great future with this role.

I loved this movie!! Everyone was dealing with their own issues as the mother has bad news and doesn't let on. Funny and heartwarming all at the same time!!

Bought "Family Stone" because I loved all the stars in it, but didn't know from the reviews that Diane Keaton dies before the next Christmas rolls around. The reviews presented it as a true comedy, that part of the death didn't go along with reviews. Disappointed at ending.

I bought this movie because I had seen it at the theater and really liked it. It's a wonderful story about the value of family and their love for each other. It has both comical and touching scenes.

"The Family Stone" was a pure joy to view. It will make you laugh out loud and cry the tears that you have been holding back for so long. A great Christmas movie to share with the whole family. If you have someone on you life that is ill, this movie is for you as it will help you to deal with the hardships that go along with a loved one passing away. However, also this movie will make you feel happy to be with family members that become closer over the Christmas holidays.
