Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story = Unrated Family Guy

Funniest. Television. Show. Period.

And Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story is an unrated, 90 minute family guy movie. Can it get any better? Its heaven if you ask me... Seth McFarlane's Family Guy is the funniest show on television - and it has been for years. Its quickly developed a cult following that is stronger and larger than the Simpsons'. The Family Guy aired on Fox in 1999 immediately following the Super Bowl and received wild attention - though not positive - among the media for its raunchiness and controversial material. After Fox's cancellation in 2002, the Family Guy Season 1 was released on DVD in 2003 and has been wildly successful since. Two years later, the Family Guy DVD is still in high demand on eBay (where it can be purchased for a fraction of the $49.99 retail price) and its still in the top 100 list on Amazon.com. The Family Guy Season 1 DVD was so successful, a subsequent DVD was released and the show was re-picked up on Fox and currently airs on Sunday Nights.

The Family Guy follows the Griffins who live in Quahog, Rhode Island and appear to be a normal suburban family. The specific Griffins are each unique: The father Peter Griffin is fat, lazy, raunchy and a simpleton (think Homer Simpson). Daughter Meg Griffin is a homely, unsophisticated 15-year old. Chris Griffin is a 13-year old version of his father. Baby Stewie is a sophisticated big-thinker with plans to overtake the world - the only problem is that only his dog Brian can hear him. Brian on the other hand drinks martinis, dates women, and reeks of sarcasm.

The true humor within Family Guy is the writing. Seth McFarlane has a knack for social commentary and sarcasm - attacking anything relevant to current events, pop culture, or the likes... and he does so in on-the-border / is-it-offensive? manners. But make no mistake - while the on-air episodes are borderline offensive, this DVD is unrated and swings for the fences. Just the way Family Guy was written to be =)

  A Great Feature Film!!!

Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story

I didn't expect this movie to be very good, most of the time cartoon feature films aren't. But Family Guy hit the nail on the head with this... by splitting the movie into 3 seperate episodes they made it easy to stay fresh while keeping with a similar story.

The Untold Story features some of the funniest scenes I've ever witnessed in a cartoon.

Final Verdict:

5/5

Rent or Buy?: If you're a fan of the Family Guy series youc an't go wrong here. I've watched this DVD 10-15 times, and you will too.

IF YOU FIND THIS REVIEW HELPFUL PLEASE REMEMBER TO VOTE. Thank you.

Didn't GIGGIDY Giggle As Much As I Thought I Would

I was slightly disappointed by this straight to DVD movie of TV's most dysfunctional family. The movie is being labeled as 'uncensored' when in reality it's not. Sure, there's a few of 'the' bad swear words here and there but they're all bleeped out. How can it be censored yet uncensored all at once? I was hoping we'd see a no holds barred approach but instead it takes the easy way out; there's been episodes on TV where they've done the same thing so I don't think it should be labeled as Family Guy to the max.

The show itself has some ups and downs. The movie is bookended by a reality-themed movie premiere of the movie itself. This ends up hurting the movie slightly and looks to be added in later judging by the continuity. Not to say that there's not some humorous parts (the previews come to mind), but they have a tacked on feel. This is especially evident at the end of the film where you get the feeling that they are just padding the running time during the movie's 'after-party'.

The film's strongest moments happen in the first act as the other reviewers have stated since this has little to do with the overall plot and is instead the makings of a great episode. After the, the movie simply loses a little too much of its energy. This is especially evident in the tedious second act where nothing of real value occurs. The final third tries but can't recover as the plot twist doesn't really have the 'oomph' you were hoping for. Instead, it meanders around a little bit before it realizes that it has to suddenly end.

Overall, I kind of feel like this could have simply been made into a two part episode on the series with some tighter writing. I'd love to see a South Park-like escapade for the show that pushes the 'R' rating to its threshold. Now THAT I would see.

There's just too many funny parts in this movie to mention. Of course, I watch Family Guy every time I get a chance, so it doesn't surprise me that I loved it. It is kind of hard to make a full length movie that has as many stupidly hilarious moments as this one did. If you dig family guy, you can't miss this movie

Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story (Family Guy)

If you're a lover of Family Guy Created by Seth McFlarne, or are someone new to this hilarious series of boundary pushing humor, you will Love Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story. This movie bring together all the jokes and characters in the original series, and gives you a full dose of comedy. Note you will probably enjoy this movie more if you have seen Family Guy before, or own some of the seasons prior to this movie. A must see. A great hip present to either give or recieve. Warning, some humor may be slightly offesive, but the issues brought up by it are today's issues.

Family Guy Rocks, enough said. But having Stewie go back in time (or into the future) and meet up with himself again to save himself from exploding that thingy in the pool was just an idiotic storyline.

Not for Children. No censorship that is on the TV show. Extremely funny at the beginning but got dull in the middle. It pulls it all back together at the end. I loved the Movie though.

The hilariously irreverent and enormously popular animated series THE FAMILY GUY expands to a feature-length movie in order to explore the true origins of maniacal baby genius Stewie Griffin. Seth MacFarlane's family of losers and misfits, headed up by bumbling dad Peter, was deemed too controversial by FOX and ended after an all-too-brief run, only to return to the channel by popular demand. It all starts out with Stewie's near-death experience, after which, shaken and questioning his life, the baby goes on a drinking binge. He resurfaces only when he sees on TV a man who looks just like him, and it dawns on him that this is his real father. Stewie embarks upon a road trip, intending to get to the bottom of it all, while meanwhile Peter is fired from his job for being a bad parent. A must-see for fans and neophytes alike, the movie delivers what audiences have been wanting all along: more FAMILY GUY!

I love the family guy. Seth MacFlane is a creative genius. But I was a little disappointed in this movie. it was good, don't get me wrong, but something just seemed to be missing from it. It was a bit lacking, but I still think you should go and see it. I recomend renting it before you buy it!

This movie is a very funny movie. It is not however as good as the episodes. If you want the movie to be uncensored then you have to go to the language selection and choose that option. If you dont then you end up watching the censored versions. The whole movie premiere theme of this movie is where they went wrong i wouldnt recommened buying it now i would put it off until after Christmas because the price on this movie will definitly go down.Way down.

Before I start my review I just want to say...

ANY ONE THAT SAYS THAT THIS MOVIE IS NOT GOOD DOSE NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT.

When I first herd about this movie. I went on ebay and read some reviews. some were good but most of them were'nt. So I bought the movie and Im glad i did. it is great! I was laughing like every 5 mins. the comedy is well kept up and put togeather like in the orgional series.

The movie starts off showing the girffin family along with others going to the premer of the movie that they made that just came out. they all walk down a red carpet, have interviews and then sit down and thats when the "Actual" movie starts. its the first 15 mins of the movie and those first 15 mins was the only part of the movie that I diddnt like. They could have left that out. but when the actual movie starts. its smooth sailing. the Bonus features wernt that good either. Not good at all actually. So the movie gets a good because of the first 10-15 mins of the movie. Glad I bought it on ebay and got a great deal for a great price!

So like I said before

ANY ONE THAT SAYS THAT THIS MOVIE IS NOT GOOD DOSE NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT.

Go get it ..you wont be disapointed!

In this exclusive 88 minute DVD premiere, featuring brand new, never before seen content, Stewie, the maniacal baby genius, is distracted from his plans for world domination when he sees a man who looks just like him on television. Convinced that this man must be his real father (after all, how could he possibly share genetic material with the dimwitted Peter?), Stewie sets off on a cross-country road trip to find him. But his incredible journey leads him to discoveries far more vile and shocking that anything found in his diaper.

My boyfriend LOVES Family Guy so I watch it with him all the time and for a mild fan for the regular Family Guy I was in tears I was laughing so hard. Stewie is my all time favorite character anyways but this is Stewie at a whole other level. These writers are geniuses to say the least. I am amazed on how they come up with all their material. If you want a movie that you'll die of laughter watch this movie!! I guarantee you'll laugh at LEAST once.
