Family Feud (PlayStation 2, 2006)

I was looking for a good game, that everyone in the family would like. So i picked out Family Feud. I thought it was going to be good, but when I turned it on, NOT what I wanted it to be.

Good things:
Good questions to keep someone playing for a while
You can create your own family
Good sound

Bad things:
Horrible graphics for when it was made
20 seconds of time for fast money, 10 seconds for answering normal questions (Some people cant type that fast on a ps2 controller!)
The families dont look like PS2 graphics

Unless you dont care about graphics, and you can type in letters fast with the PS2 controller, this game would be at the bottom of the 'to get list'.

We love Family Feud, but not so much the game. This PS2 version of Family Feud is filled with long musical intos, lapses, and space-fillers, but the gameplay time is way too short. On the game show, you get 20 seconds to answer the Fast Money round; tha's fine when you're able to speak your answers, but having 20 seconds to type five answers into the playstation is rediculous, and impossible.
This game is just so-so and lacks any A.I. at all.
Not only is the game a poor comparison to other PS2 games, but it's doesnt follow the same proceedures as the gameshow on tv either.
This game deserves to be in the bottom of a walmart clearance bin.

I bought this game because I like to play along with the TV show. This game captures the essence of the show and I recommend it to any fan of the show. The only drawback of the game is sometimes it is very slow moving. Examples include the host asking the question over and over and also the host telling you the rules every game. As far as I can tell, there's no way to skip this.

I don't like that the game does not give enough time to type in answers. of course, it would be easier to have the PS2 keyboard. i decided to buy it because i like the tv show.

WONDERFUL AND FUN EASY TO FOLLOW, LIKED THE GRAPHICS AND THE GAME ITSELF. i LIKE THAT YOU ARE ABLE TO CREATE PEOPLE AND THAT IT IS A FAMILY GAME.

This Playstation2 game was a Christmas gift from my Nephew - whom I love - but the game itself was a major disappointment!

The list of reasons that I would not buy this item for the Playstation includes:

The graphics are horrible! The family members do not look like any people i have ever seen!

The display is crummy. It is hard if not almost impossible to see some of the "big Board" on the TV screen - and we have a 42 inch screen TV!

You must type in your answers. Unless you are fast at typing with the Playstation controller./joystick or there is a controller that has a keyboard on it that I do not know of, time will run out before you can answer most questions - especially in fast money round!

HAVING PLAYED FAMILY FUED ON THE SNES & PS1, I WOULD HAVE TO RANK THIS ONE IN THE MIDDLE. THE BEST PART OF THE GAME IS THE FINAL ROUND. QUESTIONS ARE UP TO DATE WHICH IS A PLUS FOR A GAME SHOW GAME,BUT YOU GET VERY LITTLE TIME TO ANSWER A QUESTION. ANSWER GRID IS SET UP LIKE A KEYBOARD WHICH CAN BE CONFUSING ALSO. WHEN YOU STOP TO THINK HOW TO SPELL A WORD A TIMER COUNTS DOWN WHICH CAN ALSO CAN MAKE YOU WORRY ABOUT THE CLOCK RATHER THAN GET THE ANSWER RIGHT. AN OK GAME FOR ADULTS BUT KIDS UNDER 10 CAN FORGET ABOUT IT.

We never reseivied the CD for Playstation dont buy from them and they have gotton their money emailed them and still no responce

Great item. Brand new, just as promised. Scealled, and working properly. Some problems whithin the game itself because it was made years ago. But overall very good purchase.

When you get to the fast money playoff round, you have only 20 seconds to answer all of the questions. Thats how much time they get on TV, but they are just saying the answers, they don't have to try to type them out with a PS game controller! Typing with a controller is awkward, and zaps all of the fun from the game.

great game just like the tv show fun for the whole family and very educational my girlfriend wanted it for christmas so i bought it she loves the tv show

Well it would have been beter if you had more things you could do on the game besides just playing the 2 player or the cpu.

This game is just plain awful. If you submit the answer "tablet" and "notebook" is up there it won't accept it. Just terrible.

This is a really fun game and specially fun for playing teams! My family splits up into 2 teams and we compete againest each other that way! Very, Very fun! Would definitly reccomend to all!

I think it is a good game although I really wish they allowed a little more time for putting in the letters. It is fun for a group or just by yourself. I am not sure I would have purchased the game new price but the used price was well worth it.

I like watching the game show, so I thought I'd enjoy the game. It's too slow, awkward to answer questions, and overall, just plain boring.

Bought this for our family to play and if you can't type the words in fast enough you loose. Seems to be an adult only game not for family's. Very slow play.

I was looking forward to this game, as over the years I've purchased the Family Feud board games, and other Electronic formats. I received it and like most things when you get it, you try it out right away. I haven't played it much, my family doesn't like the graphics, and the answers you have to use the controller to type in the message--that makes it difficult. There are some nice features, but overall it is not that great.

It could be more realistic with designing your people, it also could be better if they used the same rules as the TV show. It's the first family to a designated total, not the most after the rounds. After they do the triple score round, then they ask questions with only one answer and who ever gets that-even if that family was at zero and the other team was at 299...that ZERO team would win.
