This is the first novel in a series called FIRSTBORN. Fame is where it all starts. I actually read "Forgiven" first and had to go back to read the first one! Kingsbury is a spectacular Christian romance novelist.

The most refreshing thing I can say about this engaging story is that it is clean! It's about time I pick up a good romance that doesn't have illicit sexual affairs in it. The lead male acts with honor, and the lead female is respectful. What a refreshing change!

I highly recommend this book to all the adult gals out there from 18 to 100! It's worth your time. I find that I can't wait to read the next one when I finish each one.

The Fame story has a beautiful conflict about the lead female who is a Christian and talented actress. She has to choose between trusting God that she is right where she belongs and being tempted away by fame and fortune--and of course, a handsome guy (who by the way is NOT a believer, yet)!

It's a classic struggle, and well written. The web of community relationships that she defines from the onset is intricate and so believable, you'll think it's your own hometown. Just like you are there...

Kingsbury does something astonishing that would deserve a 10 rating if there were such a thing. She outlines the moral conflicts at the end of the book and asks her readers questions about why they think the characters did and said what they said and what would you (the reader) would do in a similar situation. Like a game of Christian Scruples--this is fantastic. Kudos to Kingsbury! Excellent penmanship! Go out and GET THIS BOOK!
