Fallout 3 (Collector's Edition) (Xbox 360, 2008)

This game is freakin awesome. I have played all the other Fallout games and this is a perfect continuation to that saga. For anyone who likes exploring post apocalyptic worlds. Destroying mutated creatures. Fighting oppression for no other reason other than just cuz. This is the game for those kind of people.

What's there to say about this game that hasn't already been said? A MUST buy. Hours and hours of playtime.

Best collector's edition I have seen in a game for a while.

It's very similar to Oblivion, but much more modern and casual, I guess. You can customize your character nicely and go wherever you want, when you want. It's very wide open with a ton of stuff to do, so get to it!

its a great game and it was a great price on ebay. the game is NOT a first person shooter which many think it is but its a really good game. its a fun game that keeps you in it and keeps you thinking and investing into the game beause every answer you make in the game changes it.

The item is well worth the money if you enjoy Fallout 3. Fallout 3 Collector's Edition is an excellent addition to any Gamer's video game collection; a must buy!

Amazing game. Been playing non-stop every weekend (because of College), putting in about 65 hrs. already, and I've only discovered about HALF of the places, maybe even LESS O_o

The game is full of surprises and places to discover. Never gets old. the V.A.T.S. is amazing... I bought this thinking I'd be playing First/Third person, but I was wrong... VATS is so much better, and has GREAT cinematics... The amount of DETAIL in this game is unbelievable! Bodies are broken into a million pieces, places are so different, Historical Monuments have been put in to the very last detail.

Haven't watched the DVD yet, but the Art Booklet is great... has much history of how the concept was started and worked. The art in both the booklet and the game is simply stunning. I constantly find myself just standing for many in-game hours to simply look at the whole city and Wasteland.

Great game, five stars, recommend it to everyone who likes shooters, RPGs and lots of exploration :)

Fallout 3 is a post apocalyptic action RPG game that really doesn't upset. If you've play the Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion you kinda know what to expect, but even so this game is quite different. The setting has changed as the same with combat, as a huge fan of Oblivion I'm kind of iffy when it comes to the guns in Fallout 3.

If your expecting some fast paced action like Call of Duty think again, it's more slow paced shooting style where to you have think a bit more and analyze which weapon will work best in what situation. It's a game really based on decision making and becoming good at whatever profession you choose to take on.

This game will take up a good amount of your time playing it there's always something to do and even if you beat it you can create a new character and take a different path than you did previously. If you liked Oblivion you will definately like this game. The collector's edition comes with a tin lunchbox, bobblehead, and behind the scenes extras. It's definately worth it if you can get it at a decent price or if your a fan of the series.

What a great game!
Excellent presentation and delivery. The VATS system is excellent! First person combat can be a bit difficult up close.
There are, as with any game, some minor glitches with the environment.
The storytelling and voice acting is superb, it sucks you into the game.
I have logged over 50 hours and am still totally wrapped up in the world of fallout.
The lunch box case and the extra artwork and bobble head are totally worth the money!
This is a must own video game for the 360 or pc!

I read a review on IGN.com saying how Fallout 3 was a must-buy for 2008 and game of the year, so I saw it on eBay collecttors edition for very cheap and decided, what the hell, let's try it!! as soon as I got it I was becoming a monster and had the urge to play Fallout 3 every chance I get.Other then that I had the urge to scan my boss, look for his weak spot, pick a spot, and shoot him with a double-barreled shotgun!

Giant Insects, Raiders, Slavers, and yes, even Super Mutants are all no match for superior Vault-Tec engineering. Yet one fateful morning, you awake to find that your father has defied the Overseer and left the comfort and security afforded by Vault 101 for reasons unknown. Leaving the only home you’ve ever known, you emerge from the Vault into the harsh Wasteland sun to search for your father, and the truth.

The graphics are make you look twice – When you first exit the vault and see the landscape, you think to yourself “what next”? The graphic interface, use of PiP Boy and the movements really show that Bethesda took the time and care to make this well worth your hard earned money.

Sound: Great – 8.5/10
The sounds, music, effects, and voices take you immediately into the game. The time specific music, the radio channels, and the voice acting are all A+. The reason for the slightly lower mark is the repetitiveness of the radio, some of the sound effects, but overall, a lot of time, and thought, went into putting in effective music, voice acting and emphasis, and surrounding wasteland. The best, yet simplistic feeling is when you first turn on this gam for the first time, and all you hear is the old 50’s radio sparking on with the tube. Well done.

Gameplay: Spectacular – 9.5/10
Smooth animations, huge world design, and interactive and smart A.I. This game can be streamlined to do the main quest, or you can help the citizens of wasteland in their personal affairs. The single player game takes a lot of chances, but succeeds, in making the player make hard choices and customizing the game to their own path. Some find out too late that it is important to make hard choices to choose which attributes to build up. This aspect alone warrants multiple play times.

Some critics and players are commenting on the ending (no spoiler), but I must say that for the amount of customization a person can have in this game, it goes right along with the story.

Replay Value – High (for a single player only game) 9/10
Even without multiplayer, this game has replay value with the limitless ways you can play as – via good, bad, neutral, thief, etc. This did not feel like an RPG to me, and was well done to the point that I am on my second playthrough.

Overall – Near Perfect 9.5/10
I am not a fan of RPG’s, nor long drawn out games over 30+ hours, but I was swept away in this post apocalyptic wasteland. This holiday season is rough with the shear amount of great games, and this is definitely in the Top 5 for contention of game of the year.

This would normally be a game I would run from, but I rented it, and then bought it. It is so engrossing that others will want to watch you play and help you make those hard choices.

The game is not perfect, but close to. The story flows, as with the action, and it makes you feel as if you were there with your character trying to survive.

It has elements taken from genres such as RPG, puzzlers, action-adventures, but is not pigeonholed into this experience and to say it is an RPG is gives too little credit. This is an experience that should be played by any hardcore gamer.

It was a pleasure opening the little lunch box and discover all the things inside, I felt like a kid opening a treasure box. Love the book and the extra CD for the making of Fall out, It was awesome when I get to hold the BUBBLE HEAD. I recomended It's a lot of fun.

I LOVE Fallout 3. It has amazing graphics, it has tons of side quests so you never get bored, the map is HUGE, it's just awesome! And it also has a few ester eggs from Fallout 2. Which is great for those who have played all of the games. If you own an Xbox 360, PS3, or a computer that can run this; you need to buy this game! This is one of the highest rated games of the year and has won many awards. It's a definite buy.

Smooth transaction, the quality of the product is excellent. However, the Bobble-head was not attached to the base that it came with. A little bit of super glue made it an easy fix. Other than that, very good transaction, hoping to purchase more in the future.

I preordered the original game and have been playing it for over 400 hours now. After finding all the special items and saving the Wasteland from aliens my character was complete-but was I? No. I didnt have the lunchbox or the vault boy figure I so loved to collect throughout the game. I wanted one. Me. Not just for my character in the game! You will be very satisfied when you open the lunchbox to find a limited edition: DVD, artbook, vault boy bobblehead, and pristine game. The best part is that you get to decide how to display all your newly gained Fallout 3 loot!

So I rented this game a while back, thinking it was going to be an okay game. Well... it turned out to be an AMAZING game. The way it throws you into the game is just great. The customization of your character goes along with the storyline like a GATTACA-esque intro of customizing how your child will look. The storyline itself is very good, pulling you in to it more. The graphics are top notch, especially for being such a huge game. Not only is the game itself huge, but if you happen to have maybe another $40-$50, you can buy and download all the game add-ons from Xbox Live and practically double the size and gameplay of Fallout 3. The game does have some scary moments, but I can recommend this to a wide range of people that enjoy RPGs or FPSs.

This game is one of the best Xbox games you can buy today. I recommend this game to anyone with an Xbox 360

This is a great game. Many hours of gameplay. Customizable clothing combination, weapon repairs, and selectable perks. It comes with a nice bobble head and an awesome artwork book. Have not watched the DVD yet.

One of the most amazing games I have ever witnessed! It is a must have for any platform! I mean really, if you are a true gamer then you would honor your collection of titles by bestowing a copy of Fallout 3 to its archieves!!!

Fallout 3 is extremely fun and immersive. This game is well worth more than $60 for the almost limitless amount of game play that this game provides it is almost ridiculous. I recommend this to game to hardcore gamers. Word of warning this game is a first person shooter but it is VERY heavy on the role playing elements.
