This IS a funny book! It is by the writers of The CollegeHumor Guide to College. In this book they offer real-world novices a guide to getting ahead that has to be viewed as tongue and cheek......like feigning appreciation of JOYCE to drinking scotch without wincing to even looking classy and mature while still eating a Pop-Tart and light beer for breakfast. "While the real smart pretentious kids sit around on the quad and talk about how much they admire Nietzsche, you can be the one at home trying to get your old Nintendo to work while pulling straight A's." This is what "faking it" is all about. Being a better person without actually improving yourself. Read it for the humor but you might find a few things that will help you "fake it" in some situations.

) I took this book out of the library, read it and bought it for my nephew who attends FSU. I don't like the title because it seems to cheapen the message of the book. The book is like a guys "handbook". Many of the "how to's" of the book I have learned through the years. The book spans a great many topics and was written by college guys. I think it's a great manual for guys of all ages - especially late teens and early 20's (to get a jump on the path of life).

Not really a book to be taken seriously. The book felt like a fiction comedy book on how to live and not a genuine source of refining your social skills
