The first couple of chapters totally hooked me in and the book kept me interested throughout. Everyone knows the US tax system is completely ridiculous and this book gets you all fired up for a change. I was a Fair Tax supporter before reading and the Fair Tax book answered all of my questions and doubts. I can now preach the Fair Tax to my family and friends having full knowledge of how the system works. I will most certainly buy the next book, FairTax: The Truth: Answering the Critics.

Great read just wish our politicians would read it it would make all of our lives better. Great gift also short easy read.

I bought the book about a year ago, and, I gotta say, it is the most concise, clear answer to the question of "What do we do about the Income Tax mess?". It is very easy and entertaining reading, contains very factual information, and, was a very delightful book dealing with a very disliked subject; i.e., taxation.

I would recommend it to every high school and college student in the country, as well as, the seasoned reader.

I bought this book a few weeks ago with a curious interest in the topic. I have never read a more clear and interesting description on the topic of taxes. As a young individual with little "real world" experience, this book clearly explained taxes as a whole. Check it out. Its great for all ages and interests.

WOW !!!! I've never been so excited about taxes in my life !! This is truly the best idea for tax reform I've ever heard. It's logical, financially sound, and long overdue. I'm not a Georgia resident, but John Linder would certainly get my vote if I were. I recommend this book to everyone - especially US Senators and US Congressmen. Here's a viable solution !!! WHY haven't we passed this Bill already ?!?

This book is easy to read and understand, and not so long that you never finish it. Boortz and Linder did a great job of explaining what is possibly the greatest grassroots power concept since the Bill of Rights.

The authors do an excellant job of explaining the income tax code problems and they stand now and how the FairTax would fix those problems. The authors are fair in pointed out what the opponents to the proposal would say and they debunk these myths in a fact filled but humorous way. They even cover the history of the IRS and Income Tax as it is now in an informative and entertaining way, (and I hate history of any kind so this says alot).

This is a must read for anyone even if you disagree with the idea at least you would have a better understanding of why the current tax code has to be changed, but you might also learn that the fairtax is the best way to replace it.

I thought this book and the details to the "FairTax" have been a long time coming. Changing to the FairTax is the only logical solution to this nation's tax whoa's. Eliminating the current monstrosity of a tax code along with the IRS will not only boost the economy but ease the minds of American's; rich and poor alike. With the "FairTax" there are no losers. I highly recommend this book to any and all who are willing to learn the benefits it will have on America. Enjoy!

Great book! An excellent read for everyone. It will open your eyes and at times will make you mad. I wish everyone would read this book and do what they can to get this a reallity!

I have always liked the idea of a national sales tax in place of the income tax. Now that I have read The Fair Tax Book, I am more in favor of it than ever. Not only would income taxes, both personal and corporate, go away, but Medicare taxes and Social Security taxes as well. The amount of taxes collected would actually increase (because many who now illegally avoid paying taxes would no longer be able to), but the amount each individual pays is controllable, and would in most cases go down.

I am not just a head bobbing idiot that agrees with anything that comes along. I am a CPA. Those who are arguing against the fair tax either haven't read it, or stand to profit from its defeat. Its time to get behind this idea, and push HARD.

Only the likes of Neal Boortz could take a book about a tax reform plan to number one on the NY Times best seller list. The facts and statistics gathered for this book are as enraging as they are interesting. Not only will you get a brief history lesson on our current tax code you will learn about an idea so revolutionary that it has the IRS and it's underlings scared of what would happen if this bill were ever passed. This is a great read. Entertaining as well as enlightening.
