Facing the Giants (DVD, 2007)

this movie is amazing, well written and well acted.. makes you laugh, makes you cry, but most importantly it inspires us to rely on God to face our giants.. Praise God for this movie..gotta see it.

Excellent movie. Though I had wished they had more football scenes. Interesting story line as well, I have to admit, I cried though most of the movie. This is a sure catch! I hope it inspires more!

Here I am, a 6', 260lbs, shaved head, tattooed, earinged man, and I have tears in my eyes over this movie.
In this one man's opinion, I have never, in my life seen, or been moved by a movie like this.
The slow start started to lose me, but as the story started to play out I couldn't move from the screen.
I would recommend this movie to anyone...

The message of this movie is great. Feeling downtrodden, don't pout and make a fuss, just pray. Going through some tough personal times, it's when his professional life starts falling apart that coach Grant Taylor breaks down and readjusts his lookout on not only football, but life as well. He has never had a winning season, so his job is in jeopardy. After losing their first 3 games and pressures increasing at home, Coach Taylor goes through a spiritual transformation that not only helps him, but rubs off on the entire school. This is a must see for everyone. The acting is a bit shaky, but the message and drama that play out make you forget about that pretty soon. If you do not have "big 'ole gator tears" in your eyes by movies end, you need a checkup. I rate this a 4 out of 5 stars.

My husband and I are "house parents". We work for a company that takes care of teens that are in state's custody in which we reside. We run a teen boys group home.
We are always looking for stories based on actual facts or fiction story lines that are uplifting, motivating, encouraging, etc.
Facing the giants of course was produced by a church here in the states. The actors are not movie stars, just ordinary people that have a zeal to minister for our Awesome God! They all gave a outstanding performance.
I personally had a hugh lump in my throat through out the movie. I've watched it 3 times within the past two weeks and still get that lump! This is by far the best movie I've seen in a long, long time!!
I don't have any negative comments on this movie!!!

I liked it because there was no cursing or violence in it. It was A good movie for the entire family to watch.I bought it because it was recomended to me .

This movie is absolutely wonderful. It's about the underdog who comes out on top. But, it's the way in which he does it. Through faith in God. This very moving, inspiring film is indeed a "one of a kind". Grant's faith in God brings him to share it with his team. As they "glorify Him" if they win or if they lose, the lesson is a powerful one. This film had me crying and laughing all the way through it. It's a wonderful film and you can't go wrong with seeing it. I can't wait to have my grandchildren sit down and watch it with me again. Jean Hall.

If you need an attitude adjustment, look no further than the example of this film. It is low budget, but you will not care. The story is inviting to even those who know nothing or care nothing about football. The characters each represent things that we would like to see in ourselves, or perhaps see in ourselves and learn from this film how to adjust so that we deal with the real issues of life. It is not about winning. It is about being who you are. It is about priorities. It is about time to get more of this type of film back into the theater.

What else can I say but WATCH IT AS SOON AS YOU CAN! It is hard to believe that a church was able to turn out a movie such as this one, but they did. God blessed them in a great way to be able to do it. Another great movie to watch is Flywheel which they produced as well.

If you are feeling forgotten by the LORD, this is the movie for you It will boost your faith and remind you that you are never forgotten The acting is awesome in this movie and it will make you laugh and cry

Facing the Giants is a neat film. It is about a football coach that has had several losing seasons and parents of the kids on his team want to see him get kicked out and another coach put in. The coach realizes that he can do nothing and asks God for help. He stops the 'gotta win all the time' attitude and instead praises God whether he wins or loses. My favorite part on this is the school revival. Every time I watch that part, chills go down my spine. Better watch it for yourself, you will be glad you did.

PS - Also make sure you buy a copy of Fireproof, the newest DVD by Sherwood Pictures.

It's a great movie made by a church. I bought it for my family to watch and to share with others from my church.

This is one of the most inspirational movies that I have ever seen. It reinspires me to start again each time I see it.

It was great. Told about a family and how they put God first in there lives, no matter what. Very Human. Showed people at their worst and best. Treating each other the right way. It was great.

I loved this movie, makes you think !!!! everyone should see this, shows how we are to rely on God for all things, good and bad.

when i first heard about this movie i wanted to get it but forgot about it .....later i found out my wife bought one but still i waited.....finally i saw it and was blown away by the incredible greatness and goodness of GOD......the next day or two i went back to the store and purchased about 14 extras.......this movie has just moved to the top of my list because it strikes home in the deepest core of my being.......i already gave a copy to my pastor and am pretty prepared with my Christmas giving ammunition........do you want to know my favorite scene? it is a toss up between the new truck and the daddy team.........i went to our church prayer meeting and each person had an opportunity to pray.....when i heard a testimony of answered prayer from a brother this reminded me of the movie and i could barely get out my 3 short sentences due to my emotions just welling up and over......sure glad GOD reads hearts and not just words.......i am thankful to those who put this movie together and can't wait to see what mighty things HE will do through this message......if you have not seen it....you are missing a blessing indeed.....shalom, tim

'Facing the Giants' is probably one of the greatest movies I have ever see. I can watch it over and over again. It is so incredibly inspirational. A must see for singles and families alike.

This is a wonderful movie, so uplifting. If you want to know just how much God loves you, watch this movie. The actors were all great and the story line was awesome. Definately recomend this movie.

This was a heart warming an inpirational movie about a football coach who regains his faith in the Lord.

This has got to be the best movie i've ever seen. This movie is sure to make you cry. It's amazing how no matter what you're going through, big or small, God will pull you through. God works in miraculous ways. This movie shows how you can never give up, and that God will get you through your struggles. We all go through struggles in life, but God is there to guide us through. It also shows that no matter what happens in life, through the bad times and the good, always praise the lord, Jesus Christ. This is a move you have to see. This is a great family movie, and if you haven't seen it already it's really something that you need to see.

I loved this movie, at last a movie the whole family can enjoy and it doesn't have 'potty humor', foul langague, and sex. Just a really well made movie with a good story line. I hope to see more movies from this source. I saw nothing negative in this movie at all. I highly recommend it to everyone.

I bought this DVD because I can enjoy it with my entire family of children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, with no reservations. I have enjoyed it and have shared it. I hope for more such movies.

Great family movie with a christian theme. No violence, sex or bad language. Sure beats what Hollywood is putting out for the family.
