The Fabric Stamping Handbook

Jean Ray Laury is an icon among quiltmakers, and has blazed a path for Art Quilters by her innovations and experimentation. This book was published in 2002 and STILL stands tall as a great resource for quilters wanting to experiment with new surface techniques.
Think of the six projects as a jumping off board, and use what you learn to create personal art. You dont need a lot of expensive new tools to get started - she begins with an exploration of common household items you can use to create design and pattern. So with a little fabric and fabric paints, you too can be an artist!
Some things I especially like about this book include the big gallery section (did I say, I love eye-candy?), a bunch of full sized patterns, and the fact that she had lots of ideas here of how to actually use the designs you make in quilts, art-to-wear, household objects, and more.
