Fablehaven by Brandon Mull (2006, Hardcover)

I have read 3 out of the 4 books in this series. I have to admit that it really bothers me when any children/young adult set comes out it gets compared to Harry Potter. I have enjoyed many series and respect them for what they are, but none of them have ever even come close to being in the same category as Harry Potter. So I try to not even put them in the same class. This series however has come to be my second most loved. I think it has great content. It is intriguing and original. It has great lessons for children (and adults) to learn. This series is the first to keep me so glued to its pages since Harry Potter. I think it is a must read for both children and adults who enjoy books about magic, adventure, and mythical creatures. As far as I am concerned this is a highly under rated set of books. Brandon Mull should have much more popularity and kudos for his story telling and writing style. This deserves a place on your book shelf.

I have not read The Candy Shop War by Brandon Mull. But I do intend to.
