The Ezekiel Option by Joel C. Rosenberg (2005, Hardcover)

At an early summer estate sale, I happened to buy two books by a new author, Joel C. Rosenberg, The Last Jihad, and The Last Days. Being a Bible student, I was fascinated by the way he so deftly wove Bible prophecy into his work of fiction, and before I finished the second book I was searching for the next in the continuing saga..."The Ezekiel Option"....which I was lucky enough to win on Ebay. Rosenberg has an uncanny ability to make sense of the most complex of prophecies, and throughout his books it has been noted that much of what has happened in recent years...starting with 9/ll, and what is continuing to unfold in present day news stories, such as the problems with Iran and Russia, has been very closely aligned with details that he had "imagined" in his books. Next in the series is "The Copper Scroll", which I also won on Ebay and find it just as spellbinding and fascinating.
Recently it has been learned that the FBI also knows about Joel Rosenberg and his gift of understanding prophecy, and I am told that contacted him and urged him to write a non-fiction account of just how he came to the conclusions that flesh out his works of fiction. That non-fiction work is entitled "Epicenter", and it was one of my latest wins on Ebay....I can hardly wait to receive it. Without question, this man is a fantastic writer with a very creative mind, but what really impresses me is his discernment for Old Testament prophecy. For anyone who is interested in Bible prophecy, he makes it come alive, to be sure. He is a very talented writer who, though he writes about real time dangers and atrocities, manages to assure the reader that all is well in the world because God is in control!

Excellent combination of fact, fiction, and prophecy to keep the reading going and do some deep thinking. Well written.

Fast paced and exciting! From the first sentence to the last! Written as fiction but it could actually happen and play-out in this fashion. You will see characters created after living heads of state, presidents, dictators. Many events are taken from our actual news. If you loved the Left Behind series, you will love this series. This is book 4. I read this first and now have to read the first 3 books, which take place from just before 9/11 on. Joel wrote the first book, completely, before 9/11 even happened! Uncanny! Highly recommended series.

I purchased this book on the recommendation from a friend whose religious and spiritual view and perceptions are similar to my own. I just recently started reading the book and so far it is a page turner.

It was a great book, as is the series. I bought it because it was the only one i was missing and its a great read, very fast paced and he always stays on the same level of excitement.

After reading Epicenter and Dead Heat, I decided correctly that this was the volume in the series (5) that was most likely where we find ourselves in 2009. It is riveting like each of the other volumns (I have read all 5). It will clue you in on one of the ways that prophecy could accurately depict the near future while starting with the international relationships and domestic situations we find ourselves in now. You won't be sorry you read it.

Is Joel Rosenberg a modern day prophet? His first 3 books of this 5 book series, the events have come very close to what he wrote in the fiction novel. It is a real page turner, I will stay up and read all night long. Please read them order, starting with "The Last Jihad". 5 stars!!!! Jim Rhyne

I love this series. Mr. Rosenberg is, in my opinion a very good writer. I think he does a very good job of showing how the biblical prediction of the Gog and Magog war could take place in our lifetime. Even if you don't believe in the biblical it will make you think. On top of that it is just a really good action packed novel.

Once I began reading the series by Joel C. Rosenberg I could hardly stop! Beginning with his first book, The Last Jihad, my interest was piqued and I wanted to read them all! The Ezekiel Option was easy to understand regardless of your knowledge of religion. The author explained the connections he was making in terms anyone could comprehend.
I truly hope his work is fiction and not a prediction of events to come. Reading today's headlines, we can see how they parallel his writings. I have began his next book, The Copper Scrolls, so far I am intrigued and not disappointed.

Wow, what a great read!! It was a riveting novel that hits close to home in these turbulent times. Joel Rosenberg really knows how to write a page-turner, I can't wait to read the next one.

This book will keep you on the edge of your seat! And to think, it could happen...just like this! Rosenberg is an excellent author. In this particular book he brings out prophetic Scriptures which support what is happening in his End Times novel. Nonetheless, he does not get bogged down in being pedantic. I highly recommend this book and all in the series.

I received Joel Rosenberg's Epicenter for Christmas and liked it so well I went to ebay and bought the four books in the series. This is book number three. I loved them all and recomend them.

I loved this book. The Bible's description of the last days and Jesus' second coming has always been interesting to me. Joel Rosenberg's interpretation of the book of Ezekiel and how it could play out is amazing and you can envision these events currently in the works when compared to today's world events unfolding right before our eyes.

The end is definitely not far off. EXCELLENT READ!

A friend loaned me her copy of the Ezekiel Option. After reading it, I had to have a copy for my own collection!

This is book three of Joel's four book Trilogy. This book is difficult to not read in one setting. It will keep you at the edge of your seat. I suggest reading his four book Trilogy in sequence for they build on each other. They are, The Last Jihad, The Last Days, The Ezekiel Option and The Copper Scroll.
This book for me was the best and most concerning, since it is so realistic of what is occuring in todays political enviroment.
