Sort by: Reviews  NICOLE & TOM LIKE YOU'VE NEVER SEEN THEM BEFORE, EVER.. Director Stanley Kubrick's last film is a masterpiece. A lifetime achievement. On the surface, the doctor (Cruise), and his wife (Kidman) (yes, they were still married then) appear to have a seemingly normal, well-to-do life. Reality is that the doctor is secretly delving into a dangerous and mysterious sexual adventure. He also discovers (duh!) that his wife has strong sexual unmet needs of her own. Beware, the children should either not be home or be totally asleep when you watch this film. It 'almost' goes beyond an R rating, it is sexually suggestive and somewhat disturbing, I enjoyed the cinematography and the underlying brutal storyline. Not to be missed...
