Eyes Open by Snow Patrol (CD, May-2006, A&M Records USA)

I never received the CD, and I sent a complaint to ebay last week requesting a refund. I ordered it the end of November, and emailed the seller 12/15/06. They never sent another one, and I would like a refund.

i had only heard "chasing cars" from this album but liked the song enough to buy the whole thing. it turned out to be awesome! it has tons of variety and is very soulful, like nothing i've heard before.

I absolutely love the song "Chasing Cars" and purchased the album for this song....which will get the most play on this album. The rest of the album isn't as good as this song in my opinion. I like his voice....it is very soothing and has a nice tone. I guess that the thing that I don't like about many of the songs is that they seem to be a bit monotonous. Good music to relax to and drift off to sleep with, but not good road trip music for me.

I liked Final Straw, it was a very good album, but THIS....THIS is absolute perfection. I don't have the vocabulary to properly describe this CD...all i can say is BUY IT. don't download it for free off the internet, don't steal it, don't rip it from a friend. BUY IT. It may very well be the most rewarding and enjoyable music purchase you make all year long. I would love to hear from ANYONE who buys this album and is NOT blown away. Anyone whose heart is not touched by "Chasing Cars" is dead inside. The best way I know how to describe this CD is that it's "emo" without the weakness and trapping of that particular genre...it's honest, emotional, pure music for anyone who is in love or ever has been...i told my girlfriend that i considered this MY generation's voice on affairs of the heart...i'm in my late 20s so i don't quite remember having my heart broken on a weekly basis as a teenager, although i'm sure it happened. these are love songs for grown-ups, but then again they defy classification or time/space/place....once again, JUST BUY IT.

i bought this CD from the one song i knew-chasing cars...and there arent any other songs i listen to on this CD , SO if you want it for that one sing-maybe you should get the single or download it on your ipod instead...

I never received this item and the seller will not answer my email. This item was to be a Christmas present for my son. What do I do about this?

A very good CD with alternate rock and heavy metal overtones. This band has promise. I especially liked tracks #1,2,5,& 6.

I decided to purchase this cd for my children, they took the songs they wanted off of it and passed it along to their cousins,friends,they all want to put it on there mp3's. This is a great way to save a few bucks and still get the current music for them.

I would give a rating if I had received this Cd. I purchased 4 cds from one seller and have not received any of them. I understand that it is not E-bays fault. It was my mistake for not buying from a highly rated seller. It has been more of a hassle to try and get my money back than it is worth, because the fee is taking the refund, if there is one. Paypal is the best way to go when paying for items, they are easy to work with and quick.

It was the cheapest cd for the Snow Patrol. I got it, no problems. Brand New. Two thumbs up. I would never hesitate about buying from them. They are great.

Very happy with this cd purchase, i loved chasing cars on the radio so i bought the cd- and i have been pleasantly surprised by how often i listen to the entire thing. it is relaxing, but not boring, it is easy to listen to and the words make you think. snow patrol is a fantastic band, i hope they are around for a long time!

Folky Rock music that I can understand the words to. Saw the group Snow Patrol on MTV or something and loved one of their songs so i wanted the CD. don't have time to shop with little kids... It was a good deal.

I enjoyed this CD, but am not as exuberant as some of the reviewers. Granted there are a couple of better than average songs but as love anthems they are too hard driving. I guess its just a matter of personal taste. I listen to the CD but have others that are way above it on the list.

ya, normally in the rock/alt. rock category but heard some of this and thought the vocals were ok, only really listen to 2 or 3 songs on the album but for the price i got it for i guess it was worth it........

I found this disc totally super ! The sound is new, a bit different from the last album Final Straw but is very good. My favorite song is Set The Fire To The Third Bar featuring Martha Wainwright. The emotion is very present in this album. A very good purchase !

The CD is in great condition. It came quickly and I listen to it every day. It's better than buying in stores! Thanks.

Love this CD.. I heard one of the songs on the radio and had to have it. Chasing Cars and Eyes Open are two great songs....love it.

I initially had only heard one song of the whole CD; and searched to find the artist to purchase it off ebay because I liked this one song so much. Today I put it in to listen to on my way to work and... I'm amazed! I love EVERY song! Very up lifting yet calming music. Along with being a speed demon, I have bad road rage and didn't yell at one person this morning! I just drove and enjoyed my ride with the T-tops down. Thank you!

This grueling coldplay knockoff hits a homer with its track -Set fire to the third bar - by having Martha Wainwright's ghostly ,melodic ,sexy voice fill in the voids of this usually lacluster band. The cd is worth buying ( Used ) simply for this one track. The two voices in this dark duet meld perfectly to transport you through times of love lost, missed , and betrayed.

If poppy clone bands , college yard vigils or grays anatomy are your shtick for good music, then this one should be easy to please.


The Cd as a whole isnt terrible but It's not that good either.

this cd has my favorite song-"chasing cars", and tho the band never reaches that pinnacle again there are some other good tunes. this band writes lyrics brillantly, but their downfall is the melody's. they tend to be a 1 or 2 note band which is a shame. still, i'm glad i bought it and would do so again.

I love the music and the sound from this group. I started liking their music when I heard Chasing Cars which was played on Grey's Anatomy.
