The Eye of the Elephant by Delia Owens, Mark Owens (1993, Paperback)

The Eye of the Elephant is a riveting story by two of the best nature/conservation writers I've read. Mark & Delia Owens write vivid descriptions of the wildlife they hoped to save, and balance each other out with just the right amount of compassion and anger in this story of trying to save East Africa's wildlife from poaching. While not the masterpiece that Cry of the Kalahari was, Eye of the Elephant is absolutely a must read for conservation minded individuals.
