Great book, reading for a student project. Insightful, solid examples and useful tips for weary parents who have been put through the wringer by seemingly out-of-control children.

I do not have children, but work in the field where I need the knowledge of how to deal with certain situations. Many of these situations involve difficult children and appropriatly dealing with them. I bought the book to gain better knowledge of what I can do to further the successful work I do. My experience in working with Ebay in order to get this book was also excellent.

I never recieved the book. This is the second time I have tried to buy the book on line, so I give up I bought it at Barnes and Noble.

THIS BOOK IS A MUST HAVE. THIS IS AN EASY READER, NOT LIKE THE PREVIOUS BOOK WHICH WAS VERY BORING AND HARD TO GET THROUGH. SEVERAL PEOPLE IN OUR THEREBY GROUP PURCHASED THIS BOOK. YOU CAN SEE YOUR CHILD SO EASILY IN THE EXAMPLES. THIS IS THE OWNERS MANUAL FOR CHILDREN WITH OCD, ODD,CD,ADD, AN EVEN CERTAIN TYPES OF AUTISM. ITS NICE TO FIND HELP THAT DOESN'T ADD TO OUR ESCALATING MEDICAL COSTS.

This book may just save my relationship with my son! It is ideal for parents, teachers, sitters and counselors and anyone who deals with explosive and out-of-control children. Ross Greene provides step-by-step instructions for developing the tools needed to reduce the turmoil in our lives.

The tools described are not all that logical, at least not in American society. Ross spends quite a bit of time addressing the reactions and concerns of reluctant caregivers being counseled in this method. He enlightens and motivates even the most skeptical clients.

Best of all, you learn to modify your own reactions, but you are ultimately helping your child learn empathy and how to get along with others!

THAT THERE ARE OTHER PARENTS OUT THERE IN THE SAME BOAT AS I AM .IF YOU ARE ONE OF THOSE OTHER PARENTS THIS IS A GREAT BOOK FOR YOU TO READ AND DON'T BE SHY PASS IT AROUND TO THE GRANDPARENTS ETC SOMETIMES IT IS HARD FOR OTHERS TO KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DEALING WITH AND THAT IT IS ALWAYS NOT JUST NORMAL KID THINGS. SOMETIMES ITS MORE AND THIS BOOK WILL HELP YOU AND OTHERS RELIZE AND SEE WHAT YOU MEAN.
