Exploring Creation With Astronomy by Jeannie Fulbright (2004, Hardcover)

I love this book. It is very informative and down to earth for kids to understand. I homeschool, and the kids are excited to learn this subject, I think mostly because of this book. I like this entire series. I am trying to bid on the Zoology book from this series, as well. It is more Christian based, but not over the top. My kids used to go to public school, and I would have loved this book as an extra, if I had known about it. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves to learn.

All the books in the Apologia Family are superb. They are perfect for homeschooling a multi-age group together. They are easily readable and are meant to be done in a family group. We also use them in our homeschool coop. They are colorful and interesting. The provide a great basis for further study too. They make kids interested and want to know even more. I highly recommend them, they take science beyond reading a paragraph and answering a couple of questions.

My son (4th grader) absolutely loves the Astronomy by Apologia. We're signed up with a co-op, and it is a required book. He enjoys reading and doing the projects. The class meets and do experiments/class projects together. The book is well written and to my 4th grader's level. I recommend this book to those who have a young scientist who loves hands-on approach.

This series of books are a great way to tackle science related topics in a fun and not overwhelming manner for many age groups.

I'm excited about starting the study Astonomy with my 4th grader this year. The Apologia Astonomy book is full of wonderful color pictures and interesting information and experiments that use household items rather than hard to get things. It isn't overwhelmed in dull writing but written as though someone interesting were sharing the information with me. I decided to buy this book after watching how much my 7th grader took to the Apologia General Science book. The first science book that motivated her to work on her own and start enjoying science again.

I love the teaching method that the authors have used in this book. I like the combination of reading and activities. I have been looking at this book for a while and finally decided to purchase it.

My kids are more excited about this book than I have seen them be about any of our homeschool work. They are so interested - they can't wait to hear what they are going to be learning next. Very easy to do multiple levels at the same time. I would definitely recommend this to any homeschool mom who wants a creation based science book to teach her children from. (My kids are in K-5 and 2nd grade, but it would probably be fine all the way up to 5th or 6th grade.)
