Evil Dead: A Fistful of Boomstick (PlayStation 2, 2003)

Love the Evil Dead series and this just adds to it. Lots of gore and shooting, it's like being in the movie. The one-liners are awesome. Defiantly a fun game to play, not to hard and not to easy.

If you're a fan of the Evil Dead movies you'll love this game. Bruce Campbell does the voice of Ash...and he's funny as hell! Among the many weapons you pick up are the chainsaw and boomstick...blow away or hack up Deadites or bust out with a crazy chainsaw/boomstick combo. Awesome!

When I bid on this, I thot it was actually the players guide, not the manual which came with the game originally ... my bad, I guess.
The product itself is nice, but without the actual game, not terribly practical (my son has the game in the XBox model).
I appreciate the quick response to my questions and the fast ship. The cost for the manual was OK, but actual (postage) shipping cost was lass than a $1.00, so that may have been a bit inflated.
He is somewhat satisfied with it, and it has seemed to help his game enjoyment, so I guess it worked out all right.

I like that they had Bruce Campbell in it. I like the guilty pleasure of killing zombies, uh I mean... "deadites" with a chainsaw/shotgun weapon combo. But that's about it. The game is pretty bland and seemed like it was made in a hurry.

Graphically, it fails in every aspect: bland environments galore.

Control-wise it's pretty hard to play. Is Ash supposed to be drunk? Or was one of the game developers when they were setting the controls up?

The acting was okay where the Campbell didn't grace it, but all the writing was so TERRIBLE.

The gameplay is just needless hack and slash for the entire duration but, hey, if that's what you like....

Overall, Evil Dead: A Fist Full of Boomstick will leave you generally disappointed and wishing you hadn't bought it. I was particularly saddened being such a fan of the movies....

i bought this game b/c my husband loves the movie. he absolutly loves the game as well as our nephews and any other male who finds it in the drawer. myself not a big fan of the movie, so not a big fan of the game. hope this helps.

At first glance, I thought this game might be a somewhat of a bore. the graphics are a bit on the simple side. But the more you get into the game, the better it gets. They did a good job capturing the dry humor of Ash with the help of Bruce Campbells voice to make it authentic. With a good lineup of unique and fun weapons to choose from, slashing and shooting your way through the deadites is quite enjoyable. Puzzles to solve and people to save make it a bit of a challenge to go along with blowing away the zombies. I think this Evil Dead game is much better and more challengeing than the later released "Regeneration".

Its a great game if you're a fan of the Movies. But if you've never seen the movies, or didn't like them, you most likely wont like this.
