Synopsis When young LAPD lieutenant Milo Sturgis gets assigned to a bizarre murder case, he calls in for advice and assistance criminal psychologist Alex Delaware (in his 24th book by bestseller Jonathan Kellerman). The circumstances of the murder are freaky--a man and a woman have been slain in a compromising embrace at an unfinished mega-house, which neither of them owns--and the details Milo uncovers during his investigation only provide further obfuscation and strangeness: The property is owned by an Islamic prince. The male victim is an ecologically inclined and very promiscuous architect, although the female victim is much harder to identify. The murders seem motivated by something very personal, but link up with politically charged scandals and the disappearance of a European woman many years earlier. And as Milo and Alex dig deeper into this convoluted case, they put themselves in more danger than either of them could imagine.
