You can't go wrong with this one.

I purchased this book for my son who has a learning disability. This book worked wonders for him. Using this book, he learned how to manage his study time so that instead of spending 3 hours on homework assignments involving reading and writing now it takes about an hour. This book also helped him in class by teaching him how to determine what information is important and what is fluff. His standardized test scores increased significantly. There are examples in the book that helped him see what the author was explaining. The problem was getting him to take time to get started. If you are like me, you have probably purchased a truck load of extra help books trying to find the one thing that will click. Let me add that once he started using the book he found that it really helped especially after getting compliments from his English teacher on the strength of his essays and character studies. I purchased this for my son when he was in the eighth grade but it can easily be used by elementary(with parental help), high school, and college students. It's another way to get that confidence booster your child may need sometimes.
