Wackiest Woody Allen Yet! A Musical - Who Knew?!
    Review created: 07/18/07
5 of 5 people found this review helpful.

We all know that Woody plays the clarinet religiously, practicing with his jazz band, (conveniently) every Academy Awards night. But, who knew he had a musical in him? For that matter, who knew Edward Norton could sing? Be sure you're sitting down when the movie opens, or Norton cooing a love song to Drew Barrymore will bowl you over. The ensemble numbers are inspired but some of the individual efforts are just mediocre singing from great actors. If you love the Marxs Brothers, you'll flip at the final ensemble number. Worth watching, but definitely not your typical Woody Allen movie.
