Everybody Loves You [ECD] by Kaki King (CD, Apr-2003, Velour Recordings USA)

Surely one of her most compelling albums to date, if anything because it’s not too much or too little, it’s just the right amount Kaki King you need. There is no excessive amount of vocals (for the most part, I don’t necessarily like the tone of her voice on most of the compositions she decides to sing on, even if she does comfortably succeed at times), the tracks are varied and long enough (by times the guitar lines can get somewhat repetitive if she plays them extensively), and the general mood of the cd is cohesive and in a way sophisticated.

To play while focusing on something else, like driving in traffic, cooking, or reading, although quite frankly it seems to me like any time is a good time for her soothing string play.
