Every Which Way But Loose (DVD, 2002)

The movie was a very good buy.I liked the fact that it was new and the price I paid was very good.I bought it for my grandsons,who like Clint Eastwood movies as I do. I would recomend this movie to anyone who likes Eastwood movies.But you must also get the second one Any Which Way You CAN TO COMPLETE THE SERIES.

I thought the movie was fairly exciting. Too much slapstick. Clint Eastwood wasn't a polished actor in this movie. Fortunately, Ruth Gordon and Geoffey Lewis were in the movie to make this entertaining. Sondra Locke should have stayed an extra in another movie.

Ebay purchases allow me to find old movies and CDs that my husband and I have enjoyed many years ago. Copies of many of our old favorites are no longer in stores but I have always been able to find what I wanted on ebay.

I remember when the movie first came out, I told my ten yeae old Grandson about it and how funny it was, we had a great time watching it. I couldn't find it in the stores. I was happy to fine it on ebay.I was happy to share it with my Grandson. Bonnie

funny stuff, good views of the valley in the 80's. has some character that are no long visible in the today's movie's. great cast and the film moves well, with few space filler moments.

Most people would think that the idea of raspy voiced Clint Eastwood making a comedy would be absurd, but add in an orangutan & you have a side splitting romp about love & bare knuckle fighting! Clint stars as Philo Beddoe a tough as nails bare knuckle fighter who runs a salvage yard with his brother Orville, his crotchety mother & his pet orangutan Clyde. One night at a local saloon, Philo falls for hard luck country singer Lynn Halsey-Taylor who charms him with a tale of woe concerning her manager/boyfriend. Philo offers to intervene, but before he can, Lynn & manager skip town. Certain that she is being forced, Philo takes off in pursuit with Clyde & Orville. Before they do, they run afoul of aged motorcycle gang The Black Widows who pursue Philo & provide many humorous confrontations. Philo is also pursued by 2 off duty cops determined to avenge a wrong committed upon them by Philo. They fair no better than The Black Widows do with hilarious results. During all this, Philo engages in a few fights in his mutual quest to take on the legendary bare knuckle champion Tank Murdock. Philo's pursuit of both Murdock & Lynn do not turn out as he planned or wanted. The film features many very realistic fight scenes.

The supporting cast is excellent! Veteran character actor Geoffrey Lewis plays Philo's brother Orville & is the straight man through this romp. Long time tough guy Aldo Ray stars as the leader of The Black Widows & proves to be fantastic as the suffering leader of this inept group of supposed ruffians. National Lampoon's Vacation series veteran Beverly D'Angelo shows up mid way through as Orville's love interest. Ruth Gordon is unbelievable as Philo's mom. "Ma" is a long suffering helpless woman, in her own mind, who proves to be anything but. And then there is Clyde who stands out as the true star of this film. Clyde sets up more quick gags & is the true comic genius of this film! Finishing the cast out is Sondra Locke, Clint's real life love interest at the time. Locke is beautiful as the conniving Halsey-Taylor & even sings her own songs.

The sound track is filled with great country music & even includes on screen performances by Charlie Rich & Mel Tillis as well as Locke.

This is a wonderful film for fans of comedies, romantic comedies, fight films & country themed films! I highly recommend it & know you will enjoy it! However, language, gestures & violence both real & comedic do not make this film for everybody, so bear this in mind when renting or buying.

This is a movie from my past that was not easy to locate in stores and was thrilled to find on ebay. My dad got me involved with Clyde. It's always been a movie my dad and I watched together. He recently became a truck driver and is on the road a lot plus he also now lives in a different state than myself and my family. I bought the DVD version so he is able to have a few laughs and memories while on the road! Next I'll buy his the sequal!

One of the best Clint Eastwood movies.Very funny.I remember seeing this as a kid in the movie theatre and laughing my butt off.But there are many elements that make this movie funny,not just Eastwood as Philo Beddoe.There is Clyde, Philo's best friend who just happens to be an orangutan,Ruth Gordon is hilarious as Philo's mother,and then there is the biker gang,The Black Widows, that are after Philo,who just can't seem to catch a break,much less Philo.Eastwood is at his toughguy best as the bare knuckle fighting Philo.There are few who can play a cool kickass like Clint.The humor is probably not for everyone.If you Like Clint,give this movie a try.

I remember even liking this movie as a child and did not think about the movie for years. Then while looking for other Clint Eastwood movies saw this one was on dvd and surprised to see it was available on dvd. I have a fan of Clint Eastwood for years not so much for his western movies, but his cop movies and movies like this one.

The movie is funny. I bought the movie because I knew somebody in it and I wanted to see what they looked like when they were young. The movie is good and there is nothing I dislike about it.

My teenagers and my husband and i loved this crazy but funny movie. A must see for everyone. A great move to watch when you want a good laugh. Clyde and Ma are so hilarious.

It's A classic and wanted to ad it to my dvd collection. Watched it on tv with commercials. Much better to watch straight through with no interuptions and no deleted parts.

I'm a "Clint Fan" I like all his movies but this is different, a semi-comedy different from the "Dirty Harry" series. The "Black Widows are awesome.....too funny!!!!!!!!!!
