Everwood - The Complete First Season (DVD, 2004, 6-Disc Set)

I watch the WB's Everwood about every week now, although I watched it only sporadically during the first season. This is a show where the actors have been allowed to develop their characters and only rarely descend into poorly written tripe. Treat Williams is able to do the best sustained work of his career, he had shown a lot of promise early in his acting career but just hadn't seemed to impress. Now that he plays Dr. Brown, the central character in this drama, he is able to underplay enough to let the other capable actors shine. This is a real 'treat', revisiting the characters when they are discovering themselves

Everwood is probably one of the best family shows of its time!
The first season of this show deals with a father,Dr. Brown who is one of the best and high profile surgeons in New York, who has been absent from his kids lives for most of the time. When he looses his wife in a tragic car accident, he faces the problem of not having been there for his two kids, Delia who is eight years old and idolizes him, and, Ephram his fifteen year old son who is not ready to forgive his dad for not being there. The biggest curveball yet in their lives is when Dr. Brown decides to leave his job as surgeon and takes his kids to Everwood, Colorado. In this small town is where they are going to be facing their biggest challenges as they adapt to their new "home" and way of life.
Great Acting, Great writing, Beautiful landscape and scenery and most important a very powerful story.
It will hook you in from the beginning!

It was the end of Everwood when the WB joined forces with UPN to become the CW. This was a huge disappointment for myself and others, but I enjoyed every bit of Everwood and I still will years from now. It is a perfect mix of comedy and drama. The actors, the sets, the storylines, it was all perfect. I think the fans would agree that when they watched Everwood, they felt like they were a part of the show.

I love Everwood it's wholesome and the whole family enjoys it.Everwood has fun charcters in it and many life lessons to learn through it. I bought it because the series was taken off after this last season and I wanted something to remember it by.

its a good and interesting serie because i considere a true life or true history.
The town is fantantic and romatic so, the actors are very very good, and very real.
its a pasive serie and romantic and cruel but this a interesant because is very special.
i like the action of dr. brown, and his family is very special.

This is an interesting series starring Treat Williams. As it was not on network, may have not been seen by some. Enjoyable!

I came late to Everwood, and only saw part of the last season when it first aired. I loved it so much I've watched the series through reruns when possible, and hope that all 4 seasons will be available one day. This first season really shows how good TV can be when characters are not written to be be so cleaver or tragic, but real and likeable.

I bought this for my mother for Mother's Day because she loved the show when it aired on television. She loved it the second time around, too. It's a great series that can make you laugh and cry. I highly recommend it.

Everwood is one of my favorite family shows. My daughter and I made it a point to watch it every week. She and I were both sad to see the show come to an end. I loved the show so much that I plan on acquiring all 5 seasons. I know that if a place like Everwood really existed, I would definitely be living there!!

Great series, should never have been cancelled. I just hope they put seasons 2, 3 and 4 on dvd. Great for the family. Deals with real life family issues, not the regular Hollywood fluff. Where everybody is sleeping with everybody. Great cast and wonderfully done. Great writing. A must see for anybody with kids. This series makes us realize what is really important in life and it isn't material things.... It is Family...

I like the condition and the availability of the product. I was not happy with the arrival date. I purchased the product on November 22 and did not receive it until December 19.

This show is absolutely wonderful! The writing is great, as well as the actors. I love that they combine drama with humor and love all in one show. I highly recommend this product. I have it and have watched it multiple times. I just wish they would come out with the complete series on DVD!

I love the writing and the story line. Each show has truely touched my heart. It will make you laugh and cry and leave you sometime to think about. Having lost my own mother a few years ago, it felt at times like the writers put my own feeling on that screen. I highly recommend this DVD to everyone.
