Everest: Beyond the Limit (DVD, 2007, 3-Disc Set)

I orginally saw this on the Discovery Channel and it stayed with me for two years. I kept waiting for it to come back on and then I found it here on ebay and I had to have it.

I'm no mountain climber nor do I have any desire to be but I was still very touched and haunted by this movie. I highly recommend everyone see this movie. The people in this documentory are inspirational and will make you look at your own life in a different light. It's absolutely amazing!!!

I can't wait to get season two which I have yet to see.

I had seen this on TV and wanted to watch it again without commercials. At this low price, why not???

I bought this DVD after a friend told me about the real life footage that no other IMAX movie or any other documentary for that matter that was on this incredible DVD series that follows a group of climbers that all have a story in life and a reason to risk it all for many reasons. An asthmatic dreams of summitting without oxygen, a double amputee leaps for the summit...and a former hells angels biker makes it his dying wish to summit a mountain beyond limits. 11 people die, a few summit, its a movie documented by Discovery channel videographers and sherpas. BEST EVER EVEREST MOVIE! MUST HAVE!

I'M doing a deep dive on the whole situation regarding Everest and this is one of the better documentaries I have come across

I have seen alot of movies and read alot of books about Everest. This one was the best the show makes you feel like you are almost there.

The climbing of Mt. Everest has always been a fascination for me and no other film or certainly tv show has ever gone into such depth as to what really goes on like "Everest Beyond the Limits". It is a reality show, with these amazing men trying to summit the highest peak on earth, some for the second or third time. It is the story of heart break and triumph. Of death or the ultimate living. It centers on the climbers, one with no legs, one with asthma and several with nothing to stop them but the mountain. The guide who sets at one of the other base camp to the Sherpas who put their lives on the line every climbing season, who are like a small troup of marines who will leave no man behind. There is lots of behind the scenes, and obviously I think this is a great set, worth the small price to climb the mountain along with these people who are so brave and become a different person for the climb.
