Additional personnel: Stephen Egerton (guitar); Adam Nigh (background vocals); Dave Grohl. Recorded at Conway Recording Studios, Los Angeles, California. MxPx makes a forceful impact with THE EVER PASSING MOMENT, lacing its energetic tracks with elements of pop melody, rock excitement and a taste of punk abandon. Loud, speedy songs such as "My Life Story," "Responsibility," and "Two Whole Years" are plentiful on the album. Produced by Jerry Finn (Blink 182, Green Day), this recording has a polished, well-constructed feel, without sounding overtly pre-packaged. Some of the other songs that will make your head shake are "Prove It To The World," "Educated Guess" and "Buildings" Tumble." Overall, THE EVER PASSING MOMENT is a wild ride filled with powerful, bouncy tracks, and an impressive combination of hard-rocking tracks and pop-oriented melodic sensibilities.
Editorial Reviews 3 stars out of 5 - ...Applies even more sensitive-guy toothpaste to punk's dirty fangs....succeeding best when the harmonies are rich and the lyrics sharp... Rolling Stone (08/03/2000)
3 stars out of 5 - ...Packed with obscenely chunky power chords and pissed-off-at-the-universe sentiments....using their ability to churn out top pop tunes with a different twist every time. Melody Maker (10/31/2000)
...Marrys upbeat, easy-to-relate sentiments to snappy tunes....they're still cool enough to pack their rapid-fire songs with choppy breaks and mind-rattling chord changes. CMJ (07/01/2000)
