A Cinderella Story Like You've Never Heard Before

I pounced on this book because I loved the movie. If you haven't seen it - do so ASAP.

Danielle who's mother and father die before she is 8 is left to the not-so-tender care of her step-mother. True to the Cinderella formula she becomes a literal slave to her step-mother and step-sisters.

When Danielle meets the Prince sparks, well actually it's apples, fly. After several meetings posing as a noble woman, the Prince falls in love with Danielle.

Then things start to disappear from the castle, even a servant who is blamed. Danielle does her best to save her friend Maurice showing her true and caring nature.

Leonardo da Vinci shows up in this unusual tale helping Danielle to the ball. At the ball she is denounced by her step-mother, but does not go down for long. How will she be redeemed in the eyes of the Prince and what will happen to the hateful step-mother and step-sisters? Let's just say, in the end everyone gets what he or she really deserves.

If you saw the movie, you'll love the book and vise-versa. I can highly recommend this book to anyone who loves fairy tales.
