Even Now by Karen Kingsbury (2005, Paperback)

Karen Kingsbury is a wonderful author, and I liked this book. Karen deals with many contemporary issues, and this is one of them. She has a gift which makes her characters "real," and I thought the story was one which keeps readers' interest high. It's been a while since I read it, but I know I would definitely recommend it. I bought it because I always enjoy books by Karen Kingsbury.

I love books by Karen Kingsbury. I would highly recommend this book. Even Now is the first book in the two book series.

Karen Kingsbury is one of the best authors I have ever read. I feel so uplifted when reading her books. She has the absolute right balance between law and gospel and is so human. I just can't say enough about her writing abilities. I LOVE her books!!!

I got the book in the mail on Friday afternoon and it Sunday afternoon and I'm looking for another book to read....its that good. Nice, Christian based book with a great story line showing God at work in each of the characters lives daily. I went to the Extraordinary Womens conference last weekend and heard this author speak, she was great! I was curious as to how good her books were and just had to get one and see for myself, the book is as good as everyone there said and I highly recommend this author and this book to anyone who loves to read.

I didn't just like this book I LOVED IT!!!! Couldn't put down... can I say more.

I loved it! oh my gosh! this story was so amazing i could not stop reading it. i usually dont like to read books at all but this one kept me on the edge of my seat i always had to know what was going to happen, i and i would not go to sleep for a long time until i knew the part i wanted to know. My parents had to pull the book away from me. thank you very much, my birthday gift was great! i loved having you sign one of my books. My mom told me she had you on the show, 700 club, well i just want to tell everybody, dont waste your time not reading this book and i promise you if you are into love stories this is a perfect book to read

I love ANYTHING written by Karen Kingsbury. If you are a Christian, her books will move you to no end. If you are NOT a Christian, her books will make you want to become one. She has a passion for writing, and her stories make you feel like you are a part of the family. She loves what she does, and it is reflected in her writing, and her Christian witness is seen in each and every book she writes. I truly believe her talent is God-given and she uses that talent to the best of her ability. Those who read her books will come away feeling like a different person.

I loved this book because the characters were totally believable and I could relate to the feelings and actions of each one. I like to read things by Karen Kingsbury because she deals with real issues that are not uncommon to everyday families and I always end up feeling uplifted and not discouraged or feeling like I've read trash. This story deals with two families who are good friends and their kids grow up together and fall in love and the girl gets pregnant. Everyone has good intentions, but the story revolves around what consequences the actions of each player have on the lives of those involved and how time softens hurts, but doesn't necessarily remove the consequences. We don't always have the answers, but healing is possible even when we make the wrong choices and live with their consequences. Good book. I'd recommend it to anyone and especially to youth and their parents.

Loved the book and will share with other family. It was so touching and I really enjoyed the story. My daugher in law will really enjoy reading this book, and I hope to find more stories like this soon.

Ok so I think that a poor rating is way out there. I thought the book was good, not her best, but in no way poor. There is also a sequence comming to it, maybe the "Holes" will be left closed. Make your own opinion. Enjoy your win.

Karen Kingbury is a gifted writer who knows how to bring you to an understanding of pure love of Jesus, each other and the things around us. She will open your heart and bring you to your knees with gratefulness and devotion. Her writings have changed my life and I want to read every book she's written.

All the Karen Kingsbury books I have read have been awesome! It is possible to interest the reader and not have to resort to sex and four letter words!

I love books and especially like Christian fiction. Karen Kingsbury is one of the best writers of Christian fiction and Even Now is one of her best. Her books deal with everyday issues that we all face. This book deals with issues i.e. love and forgiveness. It deals with issues of helping young people who face difficulties and decisions in their lives. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who is interested in Christian fiction and facing everyday problems. After reading this book, you will need to read Ever After - the sequel.

A friend of mine recommended Karen Kingsbury books, so I decided to purchase the titles "Even Now" and "Ever After" as a set. I FLEW through the first title. It is a wonderful book that I would recommend to anyone. The way Kingsbury writes makes it simple to go through the pages very quickly. I didn't wan to put it down. I couldn't wait to see what happened next. Not only does the author put down into words the way many Americans act and live, she tastefully adds the word of God and the power that He has over us all. It is a great piece of literature that would capture almost any reader. I would recommend it to readers who enjoy family, love, God, and triumph over struggle!

I love Karen Kingsbury. I have most of her books, and I usually buy her books for my daughters as well. This book tells a story of hope. It shows how even though you 'mess-up' as kids, good can come out of it. But it also showed that if you don't have all the facts before you act, then you can miss out on God's blessings too. Very good book.

What a great book! I started reading the Firstborn series by Karen Kingsbury, and they was so good I decided to read all of her books. If you enjoy Christian fiction, you will love this book as well as all of Karen Kingsbury's books.
