Eve of the Emperor Penguin by Mary Osborne (2008, Hardcover)

My nephew and students enjoy reading The Magic Tree House Series. This is an excellent grade level chapter book.

This is book #40 of the Magic Tree House. This is going to be a present to my granddaughter. I had bought the set for christmas last year and I wanted to add the rest of the books that came out this year. I actually bought 2 sets for 2 different granddaughters, so I have purchased 2 of these and two of book #39. My granddaughters love these books. They are easy to read adventure books. I like the fact that it instills early reading for kids. They are chapter books, so they don't have to read the whole book or dog ear pages so they can remember where they left off. I actually sit and read these with my granddaughter and I find them pretty interesting and magical. The reference books that they have for these are great also. They tell about the different places and the different animals, so kids are really learning about things.
I would recommend these books to all.

We have been buying the "Magic Tree House" series since out 7 year old could read, and he burns through them in hours and loves every second he is reading them, these books have inspired his imagination. We love the excitement he has every time it gets close to a new book release and "Eve of the Emperor Penguin".
