Europe '72 by Grateful Dead (CD, Apr-1988, 2 Discs, Warner Bros. Records Record Label)

I am a relative late-comer to the Grateful Dead scene. I knew basically what I heard on the radio, and A couple Lps, here and there. When I heard this lp, I became an instant fan of the Dead. This disc is live, but most of the audience response is edited out and the track fade in and out, so its not really a concert type "feel" to the lp. That being said, the songs sound great. I have always liked the Jerry Garcia led songs better than Bob Wier songs and this lp has plenty of Jerrys tunes Its great rock and roll with a country type sound. There is even a killer blues jam, that I think Pigpen is singing. (Im not sure about that. This lp will surely lead to me getting some more Dead for my collection

Thirteen minute version of Truckin'. Ramble On Rose, Jack Straw alot of Great songs. Not a bootleg, but quality live recordings..A must have for any Deadhead.
