Not worth it

Clearly they were attempting to rip off some of the innovations of the Dyson, but did so poorly.
We had a cheapo, bagged Hoover for 13 years. It did fine, never clogged. Can't vouch for how much it got up. It finally died. Considered the Dyson's, but the price was too much. Purchased this V1315 at Target for $150. It was OK for the first vacuuming. Hasn't been so hot since. First, I had no idea how messy and hazardous to your lungs it is to clean out these bagless dust bins. But I'm sure this is a shortcoming of all bagless. Second, the attempt to mimic the long hose of the Dyson doesn't quite cut it. the weird hose holder at the bottom practically crimps the hose in half. I stopped using the hose holder. Third, the "automatic height adjustment" simply depends on your angle. The lower you hold the handle to the floor, the deeper the front of the vacuum bites into the carpet. And the only angle that has decent suction is the widest one, right before the front lifts off the carpet. It is not automatically adjusting the height of the brushes by any means. This is simply false advertising. The clip that keeps the removable nossle inside the main body has broken. Don't buy this vacuum. Spend twice as much (or 3X) and get the DC14 or DC17 Animal from Dyson instead. That's what I'm headed to the store to get today.
